GrinderMJ 0
Ok, so I went and played a WII tonight and it was a lot of fun, so I'd like to buy one. Do any stores have them available? Is my best bet just paying the extra 150 or so on EBAY and doing it that route. Is there another shipment expected soon? I have no idea about video games and video game releases and stuff so I'd appreciate any help you guys have. Also, if you are looking to sell a WII, post in here as I'm obviously interested. Suited_Up 2
And to actually answer your question, just look around, you should be able to find one pretty soon now that xmas is over. Just ask around, and whatnot. Also check online places as well since they pop up from time to time.

7s7c 0
I bought one on EBAY for $345 because I got pissed at both the places around me not having them and the attitudes of the workers when you inquired. Meh, for the headaches and gas money I figured $80 markup was worth it for me. I got Zelda, Madden and Trauma Center as my triumverate of games for it. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....or something similar. tobytobey 0
I scored my Wii from a Gamestop last Friday after weeks of searching and just missing out. I agree with the above poster who indicated that they will become more readily available now that X-Mas is over. For what its worth, Target will not be advertising them in their Sunday ads anymore as they will be putting them out on the shelf as soon as they get them instead of holding them to Sunday. I was told by the manager of the electronics department that they get their shipments about 11:00 am on Wednessday and put them up as soon as they can. Also, the Gamestop got their shipments daily (Monday thru Friday) at about noon. So my suggestion to you is to call around to find out when they get their daily/weekly shipments and try to hit the stores (or at least call) as close to the delivery times as possible. I'm guessing you can do the same for Best Buy, Walmart, etc.As for the Wii system, my brother-in-law said it best, "It rocks my face off!!!"The Wii sports (bowling, golf, tennis, baseball and boxing) game it comes with is so fun and you will see lots of "non-gamers" playing and having fun! The bowling is not overly hard (to pick up spares) but still is fun and challenging. My 4.5 year old son has the family record at 215!In addition to Wii sports I have the following games....- Zelda (it may be the best Zelda ever)- Excite Truck (its like crack, without the glass pipe)- Trauma Center (who doesnt like to preform surgery)- Tony Hawk Downhill Jam (its different than other TH games in that everything revolves around a downhill race - fun, but I'd say rent it first)- Call of Duty 3 (with Zelda, Wii sports and the others, I haven't played it yet)As for accessories, I'd buy at least 1 more remote, and if you can afford it, I'd buy 3 more. It makes the games flow better (like bowling) when you don't have to share remotes. I also recommend the rubber sleeves for the remotes. I picked up a pack that included a stand for the games and remotes, two sleeves, a game case and a 512mb card for $40.Can anyone tell I like the Wii? The only down side is that my poker playing has taken a back seat which sucks as I've been running good (shameless plug for my blog!!!! - see below). If anyone has any questions I'll try to answer them!Good luck in your search and keep your head up!

But we have no idea if the stores around you have them.... one way to find out though.... go to the store and look. But it might be easier for you to just pay the extra $150 bucks though... because sometimes the crowds in stores are scary.... and the sun is very bright.
Jadaki 1
Nintendo is supposed to have 6 million available world wide by March, they should start getting easier to find now.
WKTSWAY 0
I got a system and an extra wiimote and nunchuck for $100 more than retail on eBay in November. That's what I would do so you can get extra controllers. Since then, I found 2 more wiimotes and nunchucks, so i have 4 of each for the multi player games. I also found a 2000 point card and classic controller for when they release better games on their virtual console (with NES, SNES, N64, Sega Genesis, and TurboGrafix games). So far I have Wii Sports (do the fitness test every day), Excite Truck (very fun game you can play for a long time and not get sick of), Zelda, Elebits (cool multi-player and entertaining single player mode), Trama Center, and Super Monkey Ball. All of the games are a lot of fun and I can't wait until later in the next couple of months with the release of games like Super Smash Bros. WarioWare, Mario, and others.I have yet to see any Wii's on shelves at retail stores I have been to. I have seen plenty of PS3's though. I think Nintendo came out with a real winner this time. WKTSWAY 0
Really did I miss something? PS3s are everywhere now?Maybe I shouldn't have said plenty, but I have seen them on 4 different occasions. The first time was at a Best Buy there was one on the shelf. Someone grabbed it by the time I was leaving the store though. The second time I was at a Target. It was just sitting behind the locked window. A few kids were sort of huddled around it, but it was still there the second time I walked by 10 minutes later. The third time was at another Best Buy, but it was in someones hands in the checkout line. The fourth time was at a Wal-Mart, there were 2 behind the locked case and someone was asking the electronics guy if he could buy both. He only got one and the other was still there when I left the area.I guess since I was seeing them, i assumed they were not going to be going for as much on eBay anymore or I maybe would have thought about getting one to sell. All of the ones I saw were the 20 GB ones BTW

CobaltBlue 662
Back when the Wii was upcoming, a buddy of mine suggested that I go pre-order with him. Taking things casually, having classes to deal with, and figuring they'd gradually become more available, I declined. Then they went scarce. A week before Christmas, I went on a Wii Hunt with a friend of mine. She wanted to pick up one for her husband as a surprise. I offered my help and figured if we found some, I could pick one up also. After visiting a number of different stores, it became clear that all the systems would be available at all the stores on the Sunday (8 days) before Christmas. We planned to get to two different Best Buys early...like around 5am for when the store opened at 9am. Around midnight, she calls and tells me to go ahead and get to the store cause people are lining up. So I headed down there with a couple of buddies and got in line. A few minutes later, it dawned on my buddies. "Wait...we're going to have to wait here 7 hours?" So they left. I played many games of Bags with other people waiting in line and holed up in my sleeping bag when it got cold. More and more people arrived as the morning arrived. Eventually, there were about 50 people in line. Fortunately, I got the 16th out of 17 available systems. One of the guys in front of me scalped his "ticket" for $200. I consider it a character building experience...and the Wii is quite fun.Anyway, talked to a friend of mine today and he said he saw several on the shelves at Target within the past day.
