Good luck. I'm doing a $10 challenge starting today, but only playing .10/360 SNGs.So... for example, if you're playing $1/$2, and you lose, you will never move down to .50/1? I don't think that's going to be very easy. I think LHE would be better for this challenge.

me and a friend are doing the same thing. we started at 0 on tilt.we are working on 1 on stars also but its sooo flippin hard to win cash in freerolls there.any suggestions would be a great help. i even looked up the private games to find something..loli have made it upto $50.14 on tilt. 1 freeroll cash $1.60 win

That was sick!!! Had my 2.60 up to like $8.37 in a game and run KK into AA on a board of 7-7-10-7... brutal. Great game too with a guy shipping $5 in every hand. Oh well... still up $0.44.

Good luck Daniel but I don't see how you could possibly be successful (I have blogged about it here: http://blindtilt.com/?p=238).I guess I am trying to do the same thing, but I started with $50 at 2/5NL and currently my bankroll is $1,229 with a $50 bonus due around the corner. You can follow my progress here: http://blindtilt.com/ .My current moving up rule is that I must have 35 buy-ins at the higher level! I am playing 10c/25NL 6max atm. My bankroll got up to $1,500 in December and I moved up to 25c/50c NL (30 buy-ins) where I immediately got hammered losing 7 buy-ins in less than 2,000 hands. So Daniel, I just don't think your strategy is going to cope with that entity known as variance.Good luck anyway and I will be following with interest!!

Have been reading your blog for ages, but this thread made me join the forum!Just curious: Do you multitable?Do you use any tracking software?How many hours a week are you planning to put in?Are you posting strange/typical hands?Very decent pokerplayers I know have experienced 10-15 buy-in losses caused by simple variance. Are you just hoping this won't happen to you, or do you think you can play a certain way that causes lower variance? (not pushing every combodraw for instance )Hope you find the time to answer these. Okay, i've been around here forever but someone needs to explain this to me. Shouldn't the first lesson of playing micro's be bankroll management? With the ridiculous play and variance at these levels having 5 buy-ins is pretty silly and not a good first lesson. Apparently you are going to take any winnings and just jump up to a higher level everytime you have a good session which would mean you could drop back to $10 anytime so you will be risking most of your bankroll alot or am I missing something?Secondly, the goal. 100,000? How long is this lesson, a couple years? I realize you can likely move up faster than the Smasharoo limit lesson but after a month he was barely 25% of the way to $1000 let alone 100X that, and he was a regular online grinder. Is the plan to just jump in occasionaly and whack out 30 or 40 hands here and there?The whole idea and goal here seems a bit umm, well pretty high expectations without alot of forethought. Help me if i'm missing something.

Basically I think Daniel's just having some fun and doing a bit of research for some new videos for PokerVT.com. I have no doubt he's serious about his goal, but let's face it, it's not like he needs the money. It's just a personal challenge he's set for himself. Also, if I remember correctly, he's not expecting this to happen in any sort of short time-frame. I think he even mentioned as many as 3 years. I think it'll just be interesting to see how things end up going for him, and to see if variance catches up to him, or if he's able to overcome that and reach his goal. Should be fun to watch!

Popular grassroots poker challenge I like this a lot and have subscribed to the daily email feed for it. Good luck and the PokerStars Team owe your wine cellar a case of red wine (Cakebread 2005 would be a good choice if they can track it down) at the very least for the idea.Good luck ... an appropriate thing to say considering that in the micro limits, they tend to play like caffienated squirrels calling anything that moves!
