Promotions - Daniel Negreanu's Protege
How Do I Win?
Ultimately, you must win a 10-person live event freezeout tournament called the Grand Prize Final Table Tournament (GPFTT).

The GPFTT will be played live at a casino in North America with the location details to be determined shortly. During the time between December 2005 and March 2006, ten people will qualify for the GPFTT and meet at the casino to battle to become Daniel's protégé. This LIVE final table event will take place around the third week in April 2006, and the 10 qualifiers and one guest for each player will be awarded all-expense paid trips to the event.
How do I become one of the ten GPFTT qualifiers?
There are 10 unique paths to qualify for the live Grand Prize Final Table Tournament (GPFTT). This allows you to search for the path that best compliments your poker-playing style, or for the hardcore players, you guys can attempt to qualify via multiple paths and increase your odds of earning a GPFTT seat.
As you can see in the image above, there is a different seat number assigned to each of the player-silhouettes around the Grand Prize Final Table. Each seat number represents one of the unique paths to this GPFTT. Each of the 10 paths has a Semifinal Tournament:
- 8 of which are played online at FullContactPoker.com
- 1 of which is played online at FullContactPoker.net
- 1 of which is played live at a Red Hot Poker Tour event in Canada
The winners of these Semifinal Tournaments earn a seat to the GPFTT. As the winners of the Semifinal Tournaments are announced, the player-silhouettes will turn purple and the winner's name or username will be added.
