WPPC
29 Oct 2004The WPPC (World Poker Players Conference) is a really fun event that I've been a part of on two occasions. On both those occassions I discussed limit hold'em strategies, but this year my topic is going to be final table play.
I have an hour to fill and with a topic like final table strategy I could go on for hours and hours. There are just so many variables, so many things to think about.
This year it appears that the event will be extremely well organized and that means that I have to get my topic information sent out today... er, well yesterday but who's counting!
The more poker related "stuff" that I do, the more it starts to feel like a real job. Yuk
I do enjoy doing these types of things but I could do without the homework. Of course it's important though, I don't want to get up there on stage and babble my way through it. I plan on sharing as much as I can with the "paying customers" and really want to feel like they are coming away from my seminar with something valuable.
The basic structure for what I'll be doing looks something like this:
Ring game stategy (7-9 players)
With a short stack
With a medium stack
With a big stack
Short Handed Strategy (4-6 players)
With a short stack
With a medium stack
With a big stack
Heads Up Strategy (2-3 players)
With a short stack
With a medium stack
With a big stack
That's the basic structure for how I'll be presenting on November 6th at the Bellagio. Of course I'll also go into other aspects as well:
Playing against weak players
Playing against aggressive players
Moving up the ladder or going for the win
Dealmaking
If you are at all interested in being part of the WPPC I believe you can get tickets in advance from Linda Johnson at linda@cardplayercruises.com or you can get tickets at the door.
