Is this flop to ugly to go on here? Or do I raise?

MP3 SLA/P

The only reason I can think of for raising is to get a free turn if we turn another spade. I guess we "could" be ahead now, but we don't rate to be ahead at the river very often.

I dunno... ISAP and prolly get stuck in calldown mode unless a scare card comes, but I don't think that can be right.

ugg.
Those two calls give us 2 more SB's but also signal that there are a ton of bad cards even when we are ahead (which i think we are a good deal)

sorry I cant commit to my play here.

Id fold. I think we are unlikely to be good now and if we are we have to dodge more than half the deck.

+ Top Pair
+ BDFD
+ 8-1 odds.
= I never fold this flop.

I would likely call the flop.
And then bet/raise a brick on the turn.

By postponing a raise until the next street, we can get away cheaply if the board gets worse.

Your right. Pot too big to fold.

I can see the benefit in this, since I am in position.

But what do I do on the turn if a card like the 3d comes (something not scary) and the SB leads out again? That's why I wonder if the flop should be raised to find out how much he likes his hand before the bets double. If I raise the flop and SB 3 bets, then I can check-fold turn if I miss and he comes again. And I've put in the same amount of money as calling the flop, and calling one on the turn.

Is there any merit to that?
antistuff
fold.

I don't mind raising the flop like you are suggesting.

I raise that turn.
Especially if BB is still tagging along with his draw.

It likely costs us no more than calling down (2 big bets) unles we want it to.
I fold immediately to any 3bet.

Like what has been said, I call the flop and then raise a safe turn. It is then your decision if you should bet the river or not, depending on the card and players left etc.
