Today I was offered $30 for a million play money chips on PokerStars. Not sure what the going rate is, but on Ebay I see someone being offered $35 for a million. Well, that part didn't really matter, does anyone know if there is a feisable way to make a deal for play chips?
Can someone put real money into my account if I give them play chips? Can they just send it into your account or does it have to go through something else?
I know you can easily send play chips to friends, can you also send real money in the same way?
One last question.. I have not yet put real money into my account, can the first money that goes in come from someone else and let me still use it in the same way?
Sorry, I'm an online novice, just need some help getting setup.

I've never done it, but I've heard about it a few times on the RGP boards. Apparently it's legit, though I believe it to be very stupid.

Well I realize that its risky and I'm not quite sure why they want the chips and are offering money, but as long as it works and they're willing, I'm not gonna ask.
Anyone know how to go about it?

yes, it's very easy.
work out the order, but either way...
they transfer you $30 real money
you transfer them $1m play money
pokerstars allows both types of transfers, and yes, you can play for real money even if you've never done so before, simply through a transfer.

Thank You.
I assumed it could be that easy, but some guy was insisting that I had to send first and it would send through a program. Clearly a scam, but I wasn't sure the correct way in the first place.

If you sit at a play money table it won't allow you to send real money.. It isn't even an option..
Can I sit at real money tables and the option then allows real money transfers? Or is it because I don't have money in my account that a real money transfer option won't appear?
On Pokerstars. Sorry...

you don't need to sit at any table to transfer money...
there's an option to transfer money in one of the menus on the lobby. it's called "transfer funds" (this would be real money), while the other option is "transfer play money" (or something to that effect, this would be for play money).
there are no requirements (e.g. having real money already in your account) to transferring real money.
