The "pilots" that I saw tonight were pretty awful. It's freaking Cartoon Network. I want to see cartoons. I've got plenty of other places to go for crappy, incoherent live-action shows. "Let's Fish" has some slight potential, but this "Fat Guy Stuck in Internet" seems really dumb. "That Crook'd 'Sipp" also seems to be a mess. I can see how it tried to be funny, and one or two character designs were interesting, but the execution was unfunny gibberish. Just watched "Superjail" online...this is supposed to be funny? It's the poorly drawn ravings of a 1970's druggie. "Ooohhh...gore! What a novel concept!" Not one smirk. Okay...the "Drinky The Crow Show" (I'd seen the concept before) was actually well done. The animation style is a blend of simple and CG in a refreshing way. Despite the gore, it wasn't the crux of the show, and I laughed a number of times.
Overall, I'm concerned with the generally unfunny direction that the programming block seems to be taking.

they became too big and realized their viewers smoked so much pot they wouldn't really notice the difference. anyway, I just watch the good stuff on DVD now

I think the Boondocks is one of the most cleaver shows on TV.... and, perhaps you have to be a Metal fan to like this show I Conceede that, but I think Metalocaplyse is one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen. The King Diamond voiced "Rock and Roll Clown" might be the best character in TV history. I haven't seen any of these pilots...
Aqua Teen and Sea lab ( before the captain died) are two of my favorite shows of all time... to watch really, really stoned.
I also think that The venture bros is freaking hysterical. Most everything else.. meh... it hasn't caught my eye.
The oblongs is real mediorce, imo.

Boondocks is great.
Oblongs and Robot Chicken are either really funny or stupid, just depends on the episode. I haven't seen most of those shows yet.

I never really liked the Boondocks. Probably because of my hidden bias against naggers.

I actually think Mission Hill was one of the better shows. Oblongs was ok too. Brak was another one I thought was pretty good, but never had very many episodes, not that I saw at least.
Obviously tops are Sealab, ATHF, FG, Am Dad and Home Movies.
I hate Robot Chicken though. Total trash.
Tom goes to the mayor had it's moments, but not consistent. Squidbillies aint bad though.
Sorry, i'm all over the place, I keep looking back to see what all you listed, then throwing out opinions as I go. No real order obviously.
Didn't see the new stuff though.

I actually think Mission Hill was one of the better shows.
It's certainly more "subdued" than some of the other shows. It also had a pretty odd style to it (heavy with the blue...not a bad thing), but after an episode, I didn't mind it at all. Somewhat unfortunate that it had such a short run.
As for the new stuff, all of the pilots that I mentioned are available at adultswim.com. Don't say I didn't warn you about the unfunniness (aside from "Let's Fish" and "Drinky") though.

Overall, I'm concerned with the generally unfunny direction that the programming block seems to be taking.
The only relatively new show that I like is Shin-Chan (About a year old, but very few episodes). Despite the horrid animation, the writing of the show is well done and I couldn't find anything bad to say about it as of now (beside the animation, but the show is so good that you ignore it).
It's a pretty good buffer show that splits up comedy and anime on weeknights.
I do wish that they would put Mission Hill back on, that show was made way to early for its time.
I also love Robot Chicken, it's one of my favorite shows on AS. They cover so many topic areas it's insane and Seth Green a pretty good producer. Robot Chicken can be watched numerous times without getting dull, one of the main reasons is that their are many subtle jokes that you might overlook and then catch on later (like the M. Lights' "Twist" scene).
