9-0 RECORD!!!

they just outclassed everyone, and what a goal by Rick Nash on the breakaway. Sure the best of the NHL don't show up but neither did the best from Canada, our strong young guns' game is superior to the dept of anyother nation. GO CANADA!!!!

Let's hope Team Canada has learned their lesson from the Olympics.

Hehe, boy am I sure glad I'm not cheering for my Sens in the world championships this year cool.gif But I was pulling for the Québécois, Matthew Lombardi and the other francophone, franco-manitoban Jonathan Toews. Good job boys, way to live up to the honour of wearing the red and white ! Anything less than gold is a disappointment for us hockey-mad canucks, so well done !!!

All in all, I only watched one period out of the entire tourney, and that was the first period of the US game where we scored the first goal at the 00:08 mark and then went up 4-0 before the end of the first period. That was wicked - no offense to any of you all american FCPers, but it's always nice to beat you guys in any sport, you still out-number us 10-to-1 population-wise...

I really liked this edition of team Canada, some exciting young guns out there. Weber and Phaneuf on the blue line will be a force to be reckoned with for several years in the international game !

GO CANADA !!!

Toews is definitely not a french name. Any french that he knows has to be from school.

It's actually probably from home, I'm pretty sure his mom is french b/c you're right, Toews is not a french name. But he definitely is better than the typical canadian that learned french as a second language in school. He gave post-game interviews on RDS after each game and he speaks french as well as I do. (And as well as Crosby does, too !!!)

Oh ok, that could be right. He also dropped an F-bomb on national live television, so he must have a little french in him.

No one beats the University of Pittsburgh's Tyler Palko's F bomb on national NBC of Pitt vs. Notre Dame.

Honestly, I'm happy for them boys but I barely care about the World Championships anymore. Now that we have the best vs. the best in World Cup and Olympics it's just too hard to get excited.

I enjoy it about as much as seeing the BC Lions winning a Grey Cup.

Congrats to Canada. I wish I could see the games on TV here....
