Going to New York tomorrow, Sunday, going to David Lettermen on Monday, the one with Mike Myers.

Look for me in the audience, I'll be the big guy with a goatee and a cute wife.

Going to Spamalot on Tuesday, actually twice as excited to be seeing this as Letterman.

Was offered tickets to the final night of Survivor, I guess they are taping it in New York, but I don't watch the show so I turned them down.

How was Letterman? I went in 1999 with my college roommate the summer before my senior year (man I'm old) ... was a blast. He had Jimmy Walker (Dy-NO-MIGHT) and some super model on (sorry, can't remember the name).

Best part of the whole show was when he started giving the super model a hard time about her husband and said he was going to show a picture of him. She begged him not to, but they did anyway, and dude was like 65 years old. Whole crowd just kind of gasps, Letterman fills the silence with laughter. they chat for another minute or two (you can tell she's pissed) and they are about to cut to commercial, she gets up and STORMS off the stage. It was classic, and I'll never forget it.

Worst part of the show? We had to watch it on television monitors. We'd had a few beers before we got in line, and the guy in charge of the crowd sees us and says "you look like a couple of rowdy guys, you want seats in the front row?" Ummm, yes please? so we sit down, we're like three feet from the stage, Dave does his monologue like 10 feet away, awesome right? Well then he sits down at the desk, and a camera rolls right in front of us, and we can't see anything. So we're forced to watch the rest of the show on TV monitors in front of us.

Still an awesome time, though.

My buddy was at that taping, I think. I might've hooked you up, but you two would HATE each other.

Just got back.

1st, doubt I would hate anyone, since I'm a lover not a fighter.

Letterman was cool, we got to sit on the balcony center seats, saw everything. I had a good time there.

Ate a sandwich at the Hello Deli, Rupert took my order. Good food.

The Ed Sullivan theater hosted the Survivor reunion thing the night before, which is what I was offered tickets for but declined.

While waiting to get in, I saw a band rehearsing, figured they would be the night's band, but no band. Once when the door was open I swore I saw Elvis Costello playing. So he must have been doing something for some other night. During a commercial, Dave did a special top ten list for Why Indianapolis should host the superbowl, but I don't think that was for public consumption. February in Indianapolis..bad idea.

Spamalot: Awesome. going to give it it's own thread.
