True! Not as fun if we don't have that to play with. And if you grab a bunch of points tonight, you could be a real contendah. smile.gif

Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is SB with K icon_suit_heart.gif 9 icon_suit_spade.gif
2 folds, Hero calls t75 (pot was t225), BB checks.
Slacker had been playing pretty LAG preflop (raising hands like 46s), and I thought K9 was a good hand with which to limp/shove.

Flop: 9 icon_suit_diamond.gif 2 icon_suit_heart.gif T icon_suit_spade.gif (t300, 2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets t300, Hero calls t300 (pot was t600).
Again, I expected him to take ashot at this flop with a huge range, so I was considering either c/r or c/c.

Turn: T icon_suit_diamond.gif (t900, 2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets t600, Hero calls t600 (pot was t1500).
Standard given flop play?

River: 3 icon_suit_club.gif (t2100, 2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets t1050, Hero very reluctantly calls t1050 (pot was t3150).

Yep. You showed a lot of good hands. I'm guessing nearly every single one of them. That means that many of the times you weren't showing you had weak hands.

You were pretty active preflop. I know, because you took my blinds very regularly. Despite being to my left.

Yeh I was downstairs and the table closed by the time i came back so i didnt catch all of it, JAS knew I had nada then? I jus relooked back through the hand and I think it was pretty stupid by me. I 3bet pf since I knew he had a wide range on the button obv and I thought my range to 3bet wasnt that wide...It was mainly a feel move which I expect to get ripped apart (please do).

Do I get my own bounty btw?!

I probably would have checkraised here to find out where exactly you were/represent a stronger holding and if you were thinking of limp shoving why did hittin 2nd pair change your mind?

I'm still gonna argue for the call here, there's too much money in the pot meaning you'd have to put him on QQ+ and AQ+ - given his stack and your (fairly) loose (this isn't a criticism at all btw) pf opening hands I don't think I could have folded KQ in that spot
simo_8ball

On the flop I decided against checkraising because I figured he either had a lower 9, nothing, or the 10. Occasionally a draw. Against a large % of that range I am best calling. If he fires again on the turn I can fold or I can call depending on what comes. I wouldn't expect him to bluff on 2 streets very often.

No, he didn't know you had nada. I was trying to tell him not to fear monsters under the bed HU so much (I think you caught that part); I went on to say you didn't necessarily have a J but could have a 3 or an A or even a K maybe (I didn't think it was quite this much of a bluff). He said he only had Q high and I agreed that meant he had to fold even if he suspected larceny. I think though if he has a 3 or a pp in that situation he's got to call (meaning it's a risky move by you).

Sorry, you don't get your bounty--instead, you get a double bounty on your head next week! <g>

VN, btw, winning two weeks in a row. I'm figuring out the standings right now.

Yeah I agree, I don't know - I know I shouldnt be results biased etc but I honestly couldnt not see him calling a shove there, I assume he had Q10 ish. It just looked like a good flop to make a move on. I'll see what other people have to say on it

Cool, Yeah I was on a massive heater the whole tourney (flopping top two with A10 vs AK etc, which reminds me about another hand I want to post AJ vs 34sooooooted) but I thought I played pretty well even so.

"which reminds me about another hand I want to post AJ vs 34sooooooted"

Ohhhhhh....!!! That was you?!? I had forgotten that. Pretty pivotal hand when you think about the chips involved and the final standings.

WTF happened to the thread I posted last week giving the results and standings? If I can't find it I'm going to have to reconstruct everything from two weeks of results (I have the info saved from before that, but neglected to save it last week--d'oh!). I guess that's not so bad; but I've got to get to bed as I am short on sleep this week and have to be up at 7. So, I'll give this week's points; but the totals will have to wait until tomorrow.

Meh. Cold deck for me in this one.

1 Blind steal with squadoosh
1 Raise and take with 77
AKo and KQs raised pf only to have my cbets reraised on flops that totally missed me. (tskills both time...Agressive bastage! smile.gif)
1 PF reraise with a nice 89s drawing hand against two others. Swing and a miss on the flop.
Everything else was complete rags.
I only hit one flop, and it was a two with an Ace kicker. Slacker was feeling sorry for me and checked it down in a blind battle.

Out as the shorty when I'm dealt AJo against QQ.

Earned my money back in a $5 SNG 1 hour later...so the night was not a bust.

Yeah, Slacker, well at least against me had very strong hands preflop. But right now I gotta give credit where credit is due. Slacker you have played very well and have kept people guessing. Good game. There were a few times I thought I had Slacker, and I figured I would basically call him down instead of shoving post flop twice he had me. Once I had 10/10 he had KQ and flopped a K and he played it passively betting-wise, so I wasn't really sure if he had a hand or not. Then the turn, when I raised when an Ace popped, I reraised and I knew he had something that at least beat my 10s. Just couldn't pull the trigger on that river.

Mine went like this.

Showed up late. Played no hands while we played short handed. Once at the main table got KK early. MP raises to 60. I raise to 200 OTB, everyone folds sad.gif.

Next hand SIMO raises UTG to 60, I just call with AK. Whiff flop. Simo leads I fold.

Simo raises to 60 from MP. I call in CO with Nines. Slacker Raises to 200. Simo folds. I call. Flop Q, 7, 7? Check to Slacker who bets pot and I fold.

My very worst hand went like this:

Tskillz raises UTG to 90. I call with 88. BB calls. Flop comes Q rag, rag. BB checks, Skillz bets 70% pot. I call looking to shove if turn is checked to me, BB folds. Turn card is an Ace and skillz check, I puss out and dont shove. River card is small. Tskillz leads and I fold. Tskillz shows uber 32o. ISAP.

Getting short stack with an M of 10. (i hate the 7-10 M range). I raise to 150 with AQo. Slacker calls. Flop K, T, x. I check fold to Slackers shove.

Bust out hand:

MP raises to 150. LP calls. I shove 800ish with 88, looking to get atleast heads up. Both players call. Not good. My 88s counterfitted on A, A, 9, 9 board. GG me.

Thank you!! I really appreciate that. I mentioned in another thread that I enjoy playing against tough players I know more than I enjoy winning money from strangers. Even though I turned $3.30 into $558 earlier this week, that still wasn't as satisfying as it is to play against you guys and hold onto that #1 ranking (though it's sure getting closer, and no one can dispute that stupidkid is the hottest right now).

These hands got me curious, so I looked for them. Pretty sure the first one was a flop of Q, 4, 4...and I had AK (sorry).

Second hand, you actually raised to 125, and I called with J9 spades. Flop was K, T, 7 (rainbow, one spade) giving me a double gutshot. You checked and I shoved (I enjoy a good semi-bluff, and I was the co-shortstack along with you at that time, thanks to the nightmare hand stupidkid posted on a different thread which decimated me). Not sure what I would have done had you led out. Shortstacked as I was, I think I would have been very tempted to gamble.

So in the second hand, I think I was actually ahead? Or was it pretty even with your two overs and a gutshot? In the first hand I still had overs, but you definitely were ahead.
