QUOTE (Comatose_Soul)
I was updating my blog with some hands when I came across this one. Figured I would throw it here and see what everyone thought.
--------------------------------------------
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (2 handed)
converter
Button (t4100)
Hero (t1900)
Preflop: Hero is BB with Jh, 6h.
Button raises to t200, Hero calls t100.
Flop: (t400) 5c, Js, Jc
(2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

I want to check-raise the flop, and think it will probably be an option since my opponent is pretty aggressive to begin with, but also was the aggressor pre-flop. Unfortunately he checks behind me.
Turn: (t400) 2c
(2 players)
Hero bets t400, Hero does what?

I was loving this hand until the third club came. Now I'm looking at the Button's check on the flop and trying to figure out what hand he might have.
Suited over cards?
Possibly - but wouldn't he raise more pre-flop? In addition would he check the flop, or try to push me out?
Pocket 5s?
Again, this is a great hand heads up. Why would he make such a weak pre-flop with this hand?
Suited Connector (3c4c or similar?)
Does he raise with these or limp in? A check would definately make sense with these cards.
What would you put him on, and what would you do?
Push. You've already committed over 30% of your stack against an aggressive player who can have anything. We have no read, so perhaps he could be representing a flush, with nothing but 2 overcards.
I suspect an overpair, given that he's an aggressive player, but only min-raised preflop. I mean, he knows you're gonna call with any 2 at that point. Why would he min-raise with anything but a pocket pair or 2 paint cards? I suppose there are plenty of answers to that, but since we have no read other than he's aggressive, I give him the benefit of the doubt.
If you run into 55 or 22 here, so be it. You still have redraws to beat him.
Sorry, been a long day. That's all the analysis I'm capable of right now. Am I at least close?
