With the 1st intermission approaching ......
Any thoughts on Hrudey from anyone.
Personally he drives me crazy.
Most goalies aren't all there. He seems smarter than most but I find him very annoying to watch on TV.

I find him to be quite a great analyst/intermission guy.

Great guy, and I like his look at the game..... he has some pretty good insight, that really does come from the players POV....

BTW gruven, I feel sorry that you had to sit across from those 2 bozos on OTR. Those 2 remind me of serge, but probably worse.

what the hell is up with Dudley and his save percentage..is he high or something??

He puts a huge amount of stock in a goaltender's save percentage. High save percentage, better chance of winning night in and night out. He mentioned off the air that Raycroft's save percentage is minor league calibre...

how was his percentage as a GM??He just looked scary, like homeless...Did he smell??

He's one of the most respected GM's in the league.... whats YOUR percentage as a GM in the NHL serge? oh... right.... you're only a FANTASY gm...

You have to admit he looked silly with his comments...Even you were mocking him when you said "if Spezza's shooting percentage is ....."

God those two were just over the top bad, the one guy right across from you has been on before and I can't stand him. Its pretty clear hes never played hockey before, and it really grates me when he pretends like he knows everything. It was too bad, I wanted to hear you talk but it was pretty hard with the afforementioned clown and another guy talking about strangling smurfs.

the strangling of smurfs was funny...They are blue anyway...What the hell...Where do they get these people..No offense to Gruven of course but some of the guests they have seem to walk in off the street

hrudey is great, love hearing his opinion and I like how he points out plays that are huge factors in the game, like leaks, weakness or strength of the teams.


So whats the story with you Gruven, you were on TV recently, Off the record? what's your background, if you don't mind my asking. I'm new to the hockey forums and dont know the history around here

Here is what has been "reported " publicly about our dear friend Gruven.

-he is a regular on off the record

- he is a writer for the Hockey News.

- he likes to berate the current leaf management(deep down inside is a die hard Leafs fan)

- was in a movie with Mariah Carey(Glitter) and has been rumored to have asked her out on set....

- he is very good at picking Super Bowl commercials(inside joke)

- in general a very nice guy but likes to pick on me...

I Hrudey and Gruven.

I like Hrudey's Behind the Mask (or whatever they are calling it this year, name changed I think?) segements. Just wish CBC would put them on their website like Coach's Corner and Satellite Hotstove for those times I miss the show.

I like Kelly fine but is it just me or does the guy never look quite comfortable being in front of the camera?
