I dont see a problem here. Your check on the river was correct if that's what you're asking about. It's a pretty straight-forward hand.

Yea that was basically my main question I guess smile.gif

Wasnt sure if it was correct to check or if I should value bet.
Petoria
A lot of people might want you to value bet the river. The problem is that you know that someone is either slow-playing the nuts or has overs. An over hits, so I would slow down. You can value bet it, and it won't cost you too much. Even if youre wrong.

I think you bet the river

Sure it's an overcard, but it's a nine

Unless the raise on the turn is a straight steal (which it was here) the only 9's that are even possible are A9 and K9 or a really bad defense

If this was a J-Q-K, then I agree with this check
Petoria
I was thinking that a 9 might be too low to check to, but it is only .50/1. Theyll play alot of hands. Like I said, it's a marginal bet. He could have a 9, in which case it will cost you 2 bets. If he has a 5, it costs you 2 bets. If its an overpair (unlikely, but possible) it's 2 bets. Otherwise, you're only making one additional bet or no more bets. I think the check/call is the safer bet.
