I actually quit for 2 years up until this past year. My friends definitely were not supportive of this because whenever we hung out, it's what we would do. So I grew apart from a few close friends because of it, but I don't regret my decision. I was just tired of it because it got to the point where I could take many bong hits and smoke a fat blunt and not get high. This was the chronic too. Now if I take a few hits, I'm perfect. It is like not drinking for a long time and then when you do have a few, you get knocked on your ass and become a light weight. It's nice to enjoy the feeling again.

There is nothing wrong with your decision vick. You gotta do what is best for you and your family. But if I ever meet you, the peer pressure will be insurmountable! :-) j/k bud

You can stop smoking weed for 3 days and have the same effect. Well, I can. I'm on either day 5 or 6 with no weed and feel good. My appetite disappeared, though, and I think I dropped about 6 lbs...a bad thing for this ectomorph.

The hardest part of quitting for me is dealing with my lightning quick temper, which multiple forum members can attest to. I'm now trying another way of calming myself down, and that's through meditation. I also throw my couch cushions when they're within reach.

I played my dealer in a HU match for 5 dollars a game. He structed it for 25/50 and 1500 stack so it was a terrible structure but I ended up 2 games on him and I used that debt of his to get some weed.
