I always wonder how anyone could see that view from 10^24 meters away...when what looks like stars are huge galaxies with countless solar systems...and say that there might not be intelligent life on any other planets. Boggles my mind.
I think we live in a funny era where humans finally understand how much we really don't know. A thousand years ago we didn't even know what questions to ask, and a thousand years from now I bet we'll have a lot more answers (if we're still around).
No, I'm not high. Unfortunately.
That's a pretty silly thing to say, but religious people are the only ones saying it, and they aren't big on things like that. I guess it all just depends on where you're at. The important thing is that it really doesn't matter that much. The pursuit of knowledge is awesome and extremely fulfilling, but imagine if NASA's budget were used to help people that are having a hard time right here on earth? Imagine how much you could improve the lives of millions of people on the planet.
Yeah, a lot of times when I think about death the thing that bothers me more than anything else is that I have such a finite time to see what humanity can accomplish. How cool would it be to live long enough to watch technology develop over the next thousand years or so. Imagine what you could experience. The fact that I only have maybe 100 years at the longest is what gets to me more than anything else.
I'm not high now, but I'm about to light up a bowl I just packed. I wish I had enough to roll a really big blunt.
