Daniel, since you recently siad that you are going to stop commenting on Negative post how about going back to your blog from a few days ago when you talked about the high level of play on season three, especially the last couple episodes. Maybe pick a couple hands and let us know your thought on how they were played etc.

Also, what do you think of SBrugby saying he is the best NL holdem player in the world, I know you won;'t agree, but do you think he is up there? obviously online he is but what about live, now that you have had a chance to play with him and then see it on TV?

Unfortunately I deleted the episode, but overall I found that there was a high level of creativity shown by all players. As for SRugby, I wouldn't be the best person to answer that question as my experience with him is limited, but I really don't think anyone is "the best." I really don't. I think sometimes it's this guy, or sometimes it's that guy. I will say this, though, I would be surprised if he would be able to be outwit either Patrick Antonius or Phil Ivey, be it online or live. Online, I can only assume he is better than me, but that's just based on his results versus mine. If we played live I think I'd be the favorite. I could be wrong of course, but if you don't believe that you will win that's all but dooming yourself.

There are a few things I beleive I could exploit in his game, but obviously there is no way of knowing for sure unless I actually played him.

I thought the same DN, then the other night online he took 200k off Ivey.

Thanks. What did you think of all the talking Benymine was doing in that big hand vs. Antonio. Obviously its not a tournament so with noone else in the hand its fine but I thought it was a little strange bascially told Antonio a range of hands he had. Is it good for information for the future or does he chat like that a lot and you can't tell what he has. I just thought it was a little weird especially how big the pot was, in fact I thnk you even commented something like "well there some information" with an OMG I can't beleieve he is saying all this type expression.

Also I noticed some of the players were wincing and groaning when a flop would hit what they folded. Does this annoy you, because it is one of my pet peeves. We have this guy we play with and we have had to ask him repeatedly to knock that kind of stuff off. The flop would come after he folded and he would give a disgusted look as if he would have had the best hand, which in my opinion is fairly unethical to do if there are other people still in the pot.

David doesn't normally talk at all when he plays so I found that all to be a little strange. He was very comfortable it appeared, but I think the main reason he was talking so much was to try and appear stronger than he was. He had two pair, but if Antonio had ANY of the hands he was supposed to in that situatuon, he'd be dead meat. As it turned out, the talking that David did was just brilliant. He talked Antonio right into trying to represent a set or two pair, but all the while David was dialed into the fact that Antonio was making a move. Just brilliant poker.

When I was playing heads up matches at the Wynn against all comers, I won overall. However, the one match I played against a businessman who was the weakest player I faced, he beat me for $500,000! General, you need to understand that short term results are rarely indicative of what will happen in the long run. Winning $200,000 when you are playing 300-600 NL online as well as 200-400 PLO, is a rather small figure.

Have you ever got revenge (rematch) on the businessman?

Brian (Sbrugby) has been a consistent winner at the highest stakes NL games online and should be/is regarded as one of the best NLHE players in the world.

Now this is my kind of thread. I'd love to hear more analysis of hands played. Dan, you obviously greatly respect David's game. Before he shows up, you tell one of the other players who had never played with him that Benyamine is really good. Where would you rate him in terms of players at that table? Also, what do you think of Antonio's play overall? I've never been a fan of his, but he seems like he'd be a really tough opponent. I saw a polling of pros that listed Laak as a better cash game player than Antonio and I always thought it was the other way around.
