Premiered last night, showing the first 2 eps and tonight it will be on it's normal time at 8pm EST before 24.

I liked it. I didnt't think I would as the premise seemed weird but it might work out. Plus Nathan Fillion of FireFly is the main character and I enjoy his work in TV and film. Also one of the writers, Tim Minear, worked on Angel and Firefly.

Basic premise is there are hundreds of people who are on a race with a $32 million payoff. They race to check point to check point and it seems that coming in last at the checkpoint means you are given a task to stay in the game. Some of the racers also have added reasons for racing like Nathan's character who had his wife kidnapped and should be at the finish line, another looks to have her baby in danger so she needs to get to the finish line and a character whose parents died in a previous race where she was their prize at the finish line. Kind of Cannon Ball Run meets It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, World and Lost. I agree with my wife when she said it seems they are trying to hard on the Lost aspect but hopefully it will even itself out.

Didn't see it last night, but it looked good

I saw the previews for it and for the same reasons as you I was interested, maybe after there are 5-6 episodes I will download and watch a few back to back to see if I enjoy it.
crowTrobot
i watched the first 45 minutes expecting to get hooked but couldn't stand it.

did we really need to remake cannonball run?

I liked it. Good enough replacement for Prison Break......some recognizable actors, an intriguing storyline.

Probably wont be amazing but I will watch. Kudos to Fox for churning out some pretty decent dramatic shows.

Meh, I didn't like it at all. I think Fox is about as annoyingly fauxedgy as it gets. Conversely, I do like a few of their shows (24 [though I'm way behind], House, Family Guy [though FG is either going down hill, or more likely I'm just bored with the concept.]).

The problem is that in their quest to be the edgiest, they've made all the shows -- even the ones that are pretty good -- reek of a synthetically hip, sexy slickness that I see right through.

I've seen the premiere episode of Driven, didn't like it and won't continue watching. It just seems stupid to me and somewhat predictable.

Also, I do agree with Dirtydutch; Family Guy is on a decline, but it's still gets me for a laugh here and there.

Because of a weird Sunday night engagement, I don't watch it much, but I don't think the quality is declining, really. I think the nature of the show and its style just gives it a limited shelf-life. But it's got plenty of air-time left in it, because people find shows funny that they think should be funny, regardless what airs after the opening sequence. The Simpsons were conceptually tired YEARS before the quality collapsed, and they STILL get monster ratings. Maybe it's because it's comfortably familiar.

I don't know what I'm talking about.

I didn't like the fist ep. Second was okay, 3rd was much better. But I am alos a Tim Minear and Fillion fan so that might have something to do with it.

i am a sucker for a good ole grand conspiracy so I love shows like Vanished. family guy has been spotty. down a bit as a whole but certain episodes (ex: bill clinton episode) have been all star level. imho.
CaneBrain
suck me sideways....FOX already cancelled this show. THAT was fast.
jtambourine
i liked it. hope they air the show's remaining episodes online.

DUH!

Asking this is like asking "Do we really need oxygen?"

I was interested in this show when I heard the premise and saw who was starring, but Fox's history of not letting new shows find their footing made me not even want to bother getting hooked.

Good thing, looks like.
