I was reading www.pokerlistings.com the other day and I came across there question of the day for april 14th. actually heres a link to it to check it out http://www.pokerlistings.com/poker-question?s=3&w=15
In this hand you flop an open ended straight flush draw. The question advocates 3 bet jamming with your OESFD. I think this only works sometimes, you need to have the correct type of opponent. If the villain can't lay down an over pair in this spot then it is a -ev move.
Any thoughts?

It's actually the definition of +EV.

If you have an OESFD and get it all in against an overpair everytime, you'll be a very wealthy guy.

OESFD favorite over an over-pair, so probably a good situation against this type of hand:- +ev. Also in Nl, if you only bet your big draws when they hit ,you will be losing EV long term, due to opponents not paying you off.

If you have an open-ended straight flush draw and your opponent has an overpair (without one of your flush cards) then you are a 56.25% to 43.75% favorite to win the pot.

If your opponent has the overpair with a backdoor flush draw, then you're still a 52.6% to 47.4% favorite.

I'll take those odds every time. Plus, if your opponent folds his overpair (or has any other weaker hand) then it's even higher +EV.

SHHHHH you guys are giving away the last advantage I have left... The issue is getting your opponent to get all the money in on the flop, without him having a set.

The only "sometimes" that this works is in any hand where the villain has an overpair, set or basically any single hand and chooses to either call your all-in or fold to your all-in. Hey, wait, that kinda covers pretty much EVERY situation doesn't it?

Hmm, I guess that fastplaying a 15 card draw when you're heads-up is pretty much always +EV. Just make sure to play your sets super fast too to get paid on them the same way.

Ok now what about TODAY'S question there? I mean I'm probably going to bet that turn every time. I don't think getting check raised there would be the end of the world by any means. I see what they are saying tho about just checking behind and trying to see if you make your draw to the nuts. But what is everyones feelings towards this hand? I think this is a very borderline situation definitely not cut and dry!
