The deadline for entries is 7.30pm GMT (which is in less than 12 hours) so whilst I realize it's late, hopefully a couple of people might join up. It only takes 5 minutes... It's basically the exact same set-up as the Premiership fantasy league, so it'll all be very familiar to you. There are some neat little extra features though, from reading the FAQ's, like you can make manager substitutions and captain changes during a Matchday. Also, additional transfers only cost you 2 points. It seems really cool... SO many stars to choose from, it's like a luxury version of the Premiership one!



So yeah, I wish I'd noticed this at least a few days ago, but if you do read this and decide to sign up... good luck!

I'm not sure exactly what you mean? After you've registered, if you go here http://en.uclfantasy.uefa.com/ then click 'back to registration' (just below where it says 'Home' 'Prizes' 'Tipster' etc) then you go through the process of choosing the name for your team, colours etc, then it takes you to the squad selection where you pick your team.

Yeh James he's had a reputation as a bit of a goal machine for a couple of years. Be interesting to see if he can keep it up and/or do it against big teams too.

How has Ribery been looking so far this season? As good as ever, or playing like a guy who might have preferred a transfer? I might start watching Bundesliga actually.. got ESPN now, and they cover it well.

I was just kidding about the protest thing. Ribery is far and away the best player in the Bundesliga ainec. He scored a beauty of a free-kick against Dortmund at the weekend. I think he might take a little time to adapt as Van Gaal has him playing through the middle opposed to his usual wing. He's still a class player though.

I got in this at 4:30 last night when someone called me and I had to get some info off my comp, saw the PM (thanks James) and signed up in like 10 minutes, pretty sure my team ist'n that good and I did'nt pick my first choice team for todays matchday sigh. But still should be fun.

I didn't leave much money to have anyone good on the bench, it's all about the first 11! (although I did get 5 points from that bench, so it's something)


Also, Kuyt has been doing well for me so far, in both fantasy leagues... but I have a feeling Gerrard is going to open the floodgates soon. From what I've seen of Liverpool's last few matches he's missed a lot of chances. This will not last long... Tempted to try to get him in at least one of my teams.

Anyways I as half asleep when I set this squad up so I'm ok with the showing. Does anyone understand the rules with the manager's sub? I made one and will my automatic subs not take place now? And should'nt my captain switch to someone who played?
