What do we think here? I checked the turn intending to call any river bet.

After the river checks to me, I should value bet?

while you very likely have the best hand i dont see any value in a bet unless one of them is a super calling station.

Id fire river. Turn check seems good.

i change my mind. one of them could easily have something to call with on the river that you beat.

you dont have the 4ths nuts btw icon_dance.gif

I don't know what you are talking about... where does it say anything about 4th nuts?

Turn check is good. I'd bet the river for value, an AQJ would definitely have bet that river, and alot of the small diamonds/2pairs wont believe you.

Ya, agreed. I really really like my turn plan here... Checking to call any river bet.

However, it's definitely a value bet, and I would have been called in one spot at least, as it played out.

I like the turn a lot.
It's not only the safest play, but it probably gains you the most value as well.
And it's rare to find a combination like that.

After we checked down the turn, we are saying that we did not like that 4-flush card.
So we are underplaying the fact that our hand is actually quite strong.

Surely anyone with a higher flush than use would have to bet that river after the turn got checked through.
So when they both check again, we are almost always ahead.
And since we softplayed the turn, we can gain value from a whole lot of lesser hands on the river.

The river is a definite value bet.
