I don't think raising the flop is good. And I think you can fold to the turn c/r.

I often play this hand the exact same way.

Even if Villain is not bluffing, you have up to 10 outs to improve.
- If you hit on the turn, raising the flop often gives you more profit.
Since any card that improves your hand (AKQ) on the turn is an over to Villain's supposed pair, and will likely cause him to check the turn thus not giving you a chance to raise.
- If you miss on the turn, you can take your free card, and thus save money.

When we are check-raised on the turn, we are told that our TPTK is behind.
But our hand is strong.
And we still have our draw to the nuts.
So I call down from there.

I think it is these premature folds that cost you a lot of money, AIM.

I imagine that you make them often.
And opponents recognize this.
And bluff the heck out of you.

This turn can not be folded.

Oops, forgot about the gutshot on the turn!

So are you saying that you call the turn and fold the river UI?

Without a read, getting 11-1 odds, closing the action, my TPTK will never be folded.

With a great read...
I still call down.
Because I feel that a loose call here is a whole lot better than a tight fold.

I make a conscious effort not to make any "pro-folds" during a session.
I think that they are the surest way to lose money in the long run.

Even if you think Villain won't be bluffing here more than 8% of the time,
and a fold would be correct,
it's not going to be correct by much.

So rather than showing the table that I can get knocked off a big hand in a big pot that I showed aggression on 3 streets, I would rather "spew" a fraction of a bet to show the table that I will be showing down.
This may minimize the amount of bluffs that we will have to defend against in the future.
And thus limit the number of tough decisions we have to make.

I play it the same. Although it's screaming AQ to me, QJ could do the same thing

Looks completely standard. I like the flop raise a lot and you run into KQ way too often to even consider folding the river.
