OK, I'm gonna sign up for real money but I've got a little problem. I'm in Australia and I don't have a credit card. What are my options for payments? Preferably something that doesn't cost a lot. One site was gonna charge me about $20 everytime I withdrew money to deposit to a site... That's ridiculous.

I've been looking around a lot but can't seem to find any straight answers, so anyone else from Australia with advice on how to deposit, I'd much appreciate it.

Neteller.
Outside The Seed
Yeah, Neteller is by far the easiest way in depositing and withdrawing money.

Yeah, Neteller is by far the easiest way in depositing and withdrawing money.

And, aside from the times you use InstaCash, it's 100% free.

Oh, and a lot of the sites, PokerStars for one, will pay the instacash fees (8.9%), if you do the transaction through the PokerStars client, instead of through the Neteller website.

Isn't there some big thing going on with Neteller? I saw a video of some guy who has $8000 locked up in neteller that he can't access. I guess if you're recommending it's safe though...

It's only US players who are having issues, due to the recent US legislation.

I'm in Canada, and it works better than ever for me.

Also, that guy had $800,000 locked up in there, btw, lol, except they are all getting the money back, eventually, it was just seized by the US government. Like I said though, since you are in Oz, you will be fine.

Ah I see.

Well I went there to sign up, and it says I need a passport number. I don't have a passport... I'll try again later and get in contact with customer support I guess. Thanks for the help!

Looking forward to finally playing real money.
Zach6668
I didn't need that stuff for signing up as a Canadian, but I don't know about yours. They do have great support, in my experiences, so give them a call or talk to them in their live chat thing, and they should help you out.

how's that working out for you Zach?

Sorry to hear you all are joining us in the States in the NETeller free zone ...
Zach6668
Yeah, that turned out to be pretty gay.

Ok, I got in touch with customer support. They say that this Passport Number bug will be resolved, but he couldn't tell me when.

So I'm thinking for now, I'll use click2pay. It seems just as decent.

Is this a bad idea? I'm getting a bit impatient as I was hoping to have an account by now. So is there anything wrong with click2pay, or is it fine to use for now until neteller gets on the passport number issue?

im from australia and had the same problem as you. I got a visa debit card. just means it works the same as a credit card but it uses money in your account instead of credit. check if your bank has them. Adelaide bank does.
Roo6339
I tried to use click2pay, but they have false advertising. You have to have a credit card and can't use a bank card to deposit to them.

Neteller works now anyway... They fixed it so you can enter your drivers license ID instead.

So yeah, all good now. Playing online, can't seem to catch a single break. I get 2 pair: J's 3's... someone rivers 2 pair: Q's 4's... Gotta be at least 6 times today that something like that has happened.

But oh well... luck's gotta even out right?
