I feel foolish. Because I updated some software earlier, I thought the problem was with me and not FCP. So, I reinstalled the software. I shouldn't have bothered. I should have known better and checked here first.

And we wait with no word.

I can't get in, but there are people in the FCP IRC that can get in and are playing...

I know, and apparently there is a live one raising 8.5x the big blind at a no limit table! I want in!

So I contacted support this is what I got.

The problem is a sporadic one that is affecting the entire Network. Some players can log in and play normally and some can't .

I don't know the exact reason for this but the DGN techs are working on a fix.

But, that new 100k tourney/qualifiers looks very interesting! It's in the newsletter.

I've been told that the problem is a DNS one and that is why some players can access the games and some can't.

If the DNS server that you access is pointing to the correct spot you can get in and if not then you can't.

The Network is working on the issue but I have no timeframe for knowing if and when it will be totally back to normal.

I'm still locked out. I really want in cause Balloon Guy has predicted that 4's will be hot today.

Hi Dabs45 the problem isn't just with you but has affected about 60% of the players.

There isn't anything that you can do on your end to fix anything so just try to log in periodically.

I can't give an estimate on when things will be back to normal.

That is true Jan and that is the definition of a soft table, if I am one of the best at it.

posted this in another topic so oops on the double post - some of you may have considered this already - my ISP is one affected however i am able to play using my office vpn so perhaps this could help some of you if you hadn't considered it (of course dependant on your office isp but i'd say a very good likelihood that it isn't the same as your home unless a VERY small town). of course if you work for someone who might freak over this i wouldn't suggest it...

No that won't make a difference as the issue is a DNS routing problem.

It's the sort of problem that we just have to wait for the DNS servers to do a fresh DNS lookup and that should allow those who can't connect to be able to again.

I was able to get in again today. I think it is selective exclusion. They only want us donks playing.

But on the plus side, it caused me to play poker with $100 of my sports betting money on bodog yesterday, and I ran that $100 up to $550. We're doin some betting on the NCAA's today boys!

Going on Day 3 for me not able to connect; about time to try another site.

Hi everybody, with a DNS routing issue like this how fast it comes back for everybody will be different as we have to wait for the DNS server that your ISP uses to do a new lookup.

A friend of mine who used Sympatico in Canada had the problem and early this morning he was able to get back in.

I know it's frustrating and I do wish there was more that we could do.
