I'm not looking for advice. If I wanted that I'd ask speedz or nikki. I'm just wondering what they think of such things as Putumayo World Music.

I was just hoping you two might give me some insight into the evolution of the market economy in the southern colonies. My contention is that prior to the Revolutionary War, the economic modalities, especially in the southern colonies, could be most aptly described as agrarian precapitalist.

They may have started as agrarian precapitalist, but the north devolved a modern industrial capitalist economy, while the south maintained it's agrarian nature. It was this gap that in large part lead to the civil war.
