We thought about it. I actually got the job because they wanted kids who could play Street Hockey. My Uncle's neighbor was an agent and he knew I played hockey so I went to casting for 3 commercials and made the Bagel Bites one.

Yes I was a "skilled extra" in the movie OWNING MAHOWNY starring oscar winning actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman...I was hired to actually deal blackjack however ended up in a few scenes playing blackjack and craps. Even though i didnt talk , I made about a $1000 for about a day and a half work.

Also I was in the recent DEGRASSI HIGH REUNION....For those of you americans that dont know Degrassi was a cult hit back in the 80s, sort of like a 90210 in Canada...They recently brought it back as the NEXT GENERATION and I was in the pilot in the reunion scene...

Owning Mahoney is one of my fav gambling movies, I think anyone that thinks they have a gambling problem should watch it and see how it may consumes ones life.

I actually loved the movie too...and if you look closely I am in about 3 scenes...It was fun hanging out in the casino(actually a hotel on the airport strip in Toronto) and with the actors Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Minnie Driver and John Hurt...John Hurt is a great actor and Hoffman went on to win an oscar..

Another interesting fact...The movie is about a bank financial rep having a gambling problem and spending his clients MIllions at the casino..

I at the time was a bank financial advisor as well with gambling tendencies..I played poker for profit though...big difference.
