wow weak night for the Ravens.... Kilger/Perrault/Alexeev isn't exactly a huge way to round out your forwards.

Interesting you have Schneider before Stempy in SO order, rough night not to have any goalies, but I think whichever teams hits 1.5 wins.

Assists count for just as much as goals do in OT. That's why Scneider is up there.

The Montreal-Boston game is a huge one. I need at least Boston goals as he has no Boston players that could hurt me. On the other side, with Gagne unlikely to return, I'll likely have Kovalev, Johnson, and Kostitsyn in the lineup for Montreal. A 6-5 final either way would be nice!

Game 5 he has no goalies btw, and I have a better lineup for that night. This thing is going 7 games, I just hope and wish that I have Kopitar and Gagne available in the end...
DanielNegreanu
Anyone hear anything about Gagne's status??? I'm going to make the move to Kostitsyn otherwise.
TaxLawyer71
Daniel, according to the Flyers official site, Gagne won't be in the line up tonight against the Panthers and tommorow against the Rangers. Hopefully Kostitsyn will play as good as saturday night.

Good luck.

Tonight the Mustangs organization will be cheering for the Red Ravens...Only because the sheer number of Toronto vs Montreal players in the respective lineups..

The Mustangs do not condone the use of one montreal player, let alone 3 dummies...

Swacker Dave
Hey all,

Didn't want anyone to think I was hiding! Some random thoughts about tonights game...

I am so disapointed in NYI and TB goalies that I have decided if anyone is going to save me I want it to be Columbus! So I am going with Columbus against Chicago in Goal.

My best night for defensemen and my forwards are all 4th liners...sorry Dany, not a very good supporting cast tonight...

You know it's a bad lineup when your 2, 3, 4 & 5 OT players are your defensemen!! LOL

I need everyone here to cheer for the Swackers tonight...if we go down 4 games straight to Bob we'll never hear the end of it! Couple games we close, anything is possible...if we can get through tonight...

We just gotta take em one day at a time, and the good lord willing.... (thanks Costner...) you said it!

Sincerely,

Swacker Dave (hoping to still be alive tomorrow!)

Montreal Boston is shaping up for a 1-0 shootout win. Damn I wish I was in the playoffs right now. I wonder what my transaction fees were this year, I bet I beat the AHL record. Worst point total and most $ paid in transactions in a season are going to be my two big records this year.

Holy #%^&ing $#%. Do I get a discount for showing my student card? I'm going to have to apply for a student loan extension after that. Wow.
DanielNegreanu
This doesn't look good. Can't seem to score a goal or an assist and this is going to come down to goaltending. and I don't have any tonight...

I'm usuually the guy that leads the league in transaction fees due to the use of my reserve list. This year I used it 30 times...

I was really hoping Kostistyn didn't get called up, he was one of my trade targets in the off-season, too late now. Is there a list of transactions from the past? 21 pickups and 20 trades has to be pretty close to the top as well.

Kostitsyn will be going back to the farm at season's end. Calling him up tonight and releasing Adam Foote gives me a shot to win tonight. If onlly Boston could score a couple goals....

I know he's going back down, but I was hoping I could try and trade for him before he played more than 10 games and showed his stuff. He was #7 (out of 55) on my want list.

So what's changed? You still may be able to trade for him?
goose
His value has to have gone up a fair bit in your eyes (I'd assume) since he's been playing with the big club, or at least his market value has... I can't wait for the draft, however, and the trading to start.
DanielNegreanu
Thieves coming on now!!! Come on Boston, score one freakin' goal! If I win this game tonight this thing could be over tomorrow! What an upset in the making.

As for Kostitsyn, his call up isn't what made him look good in my eyes, it was his dominance in the AHL before being called up. I also own a Kostitsyn Hamilton Bulldogs jersey which I wore at the draft...

Yeah I got it with my last batch of jerseys. I'm still waiting for a Semin Jersey, but in my last batck picked up a Seabrook, Perry, Luongo, Kopitar, and O. Jokinen. My Semin should be here any day now.

Where's that Belanger Atlanta jersey! If he stays there next year you should order one.

Kovalev has missed on a breakaway and an open net. Nice.

I'll wear whoever is my playoff MVP. Might be Olli Jokinen.
Derswick
sorry DN but Kovalev couldn't score to save his life right now.

alright now I can say it. His first NHL SHUTOUT!!!!

Oh and I think you need a Wacey Rabbit Vancouver Giants jersey becouse its just such a great name!

I guess I never mentioned that I'm a Habs fan did I?

Poor, poor job from the video replay judges in St. Louis on this one. They eventually buzz down to stop the play, but only after the puck is dropped ??? WTF !!! That was a goal. Watch the replays tonight if you haven't seen it...

And Vermette buries one shorthanded a few seconds later...ouch. 3-2 Sens !!!

You're missing out.
Red Raven
And the Ravens are back in the series.

Daniel watch out even with no goalies we are going to be tough to beat.

The Injuriws just keep piling up in the playoffs, but somehow, the team keeps on fighting through it.

Simon Gagne
Anze Kopitar
Alexei Kovalev
Mike Johnson
Greg de Vries
Toni Lydman
Stephane Robidas
Adam Foote

All these players have missed time. My game 5 lineup would have Simon Gagne, Anze Kopitar and Stephane Robidas in it, but instead, I have to use Raffi Torres for Kopitar and have no replacement for the other two.

So has Gagne, the only problem is that I really need them for game 5 and have both slated for game 7 as well. If I lose this series, them returning won't help me. Game 5 is the biggest game of the year for me.
