For those who don't follow college hockey, probably the 2 best college teams in the country played for their conference championship last night. It went into overtime and here is the game winning goal:

You Tube video of Goal

One of the best goals I have ever seen even though I hate the Gophers.

Beauty goal.

I remember my buddy scoring a pretty similar goal in the 4th overtime period of the championship game of a PeeWee tournament. Such a great game...

Weak goal goalie shoulda saved it.

I somehow don't think he was expecting Wheeler to get any height on the shot. One of those situations it's very difficult to react to properly because it's so unorthodox. What a great way to finish out a game, too bad it wasn't for the actual championship, although it's still a pretty special play.

The puck was bouncing, which means its nearly impossible for the goalie to have any type of idea roughly where the puck is gonna go.

college hockey looks like a lot of fun...Too bad those fans dont support the NHL as much as they do college.
