Any thoughts on raising pre 4th street?
BudBundy
You mean putting a full bet on 3rd?

I don't know this hnad has little room to improve IMO.

If it was a blank 4th , i was gonna go check/fold mode.

Isn't 3 to a straight flush a strong hand in stud?

I was thinking like a "preflop raise", but am not all that familiar with stud terms, etc.

Just curious if a value raise here would work.

3rd is fine because we don't want to go heads-up.

Leading 5th is very good because of their weak boards. Your board looks potentially dangerous, and fold equity may be high. And you've developed a pair as well as the str8 draw.

Actually i barely know what i am doing.

Hopefully one of the regulars can sort this out.

For exampl Ahosnag who is reading this thead and all other but never posting! tongue.gif

raising 3rd is wrong here, this is a good drawing hand, and you want to build a big pot if you hit your hand.

You know, I actually misread the action.

Say we had like 5 limpers in front, would it be cool to raise it?

no, because it's a good "drawing hand" lets say for instance, on 4th it checks around, I'm betting, I want to build the pot to create my own draw equity, this is the only way I'm betting with a drawing hand until it's made.
