Full Version: Busting Very Late In A Tournament
FCP Poker Forum > Poker Strategy Forum > Tournament Play
Roberts2003
This is background knowledge:
Yesterday, I did the 26$ double stacked tournament on Full Tilt, 813 entered. 1st place was around 4.5K, and i ended up getting 4th for around $1700.

The question is, am i supposed to be happy or mad here? On one hand, i got very deep and won my fair share of coinflips to get to 4th. On other hand, I missed making almost 3K more. What are other people's reactions to when they get so close and then lose?

By the way this is not a brag post if anyone is going to try and say that. I spent most of today just having revisions of that final table and what I could have done differntly.

You finished 4th out of 813, that's pretty good man. The only thing you can do is exactly what I've highlighted, you've got a positive attitude to it. You're obviously a tourney player by the way that you want nothing but first - good! Just look over HHs and see how you could have done things differently in some spots, not a lot else you can do now.

Nice cash.

Post the hands that are bugging ya. There some good peeps that can tell you if you shuold be happy with 4th or if you could have done something different.
