I like the way you played it. With our kicker not playing I dont think we get called by a worse hand or fold a better one. Its hard to put him on a fd, a Q or trips from the way he played it. We may be missing value from a hand like JTs that picked up extra outs on the turn and whataver other trash this donk calls any more bets with but Id rather just play this cautiously and get to showdown due to villains erratic style incase he had trips. It would be nice if we were given reads that werent in number form but I realize that we dont always have specific reads. I think that because of the lack of specific reads it makes it that much better just to get to showdown cheaply.

If he does this a lot, then I'd raise, otherwise I call down and take notes.

I don't raise the turn against these donk-bets.
But I often will raise the river.


In this situation because our AJ is no better than an A3, I just call down.
