that looks like spew to me but if you think he's got the fd, might as well, but more often than not it's A high, bottom pair, or pp.

You actually have a better chance of folding him if you raise flop, bet turn n river imo.

Would a decent player, who sees me as a decent player, call the river here with ace-high?

That was the main reason I would bet this river.

I usually just give up if I get called on one bluff, but I see a lot of river folds on FTP, and was hoping to fold ace-high.

Btw, mikey, I've been taking MAD notes lately. biggrin.gif

YOU LIE. if u see him folding the river al ot, go for it man. Logically, ppl who call the turn w/A high call the river. If he's not one of those, yay

YOU LIE.

No lie, *****.

No notes on this guy, though.

I think after betting turn, the river bet is good.
HU you may not raise (or he may not assume you always would) a flush draw on the flop

he could call with overs on turn and not now, assuming he gets free sd sometimes and thus justifying seeing a river with "6" outs.

I cap preflop

As played, I don't bluff the turn.
He is never folding here.
He only checked because he intended on seeing showdown more cheaply.
If he was willing to fold the turn, he would have bet-folded.

As played, I don't mind the river bluff.
Because if you do fire at the turn, you have to continue on the river and pray that Villain changes his mind and folds his Ace-high or pocket pair.
Without the river bluff the turn is just a complete spew, imo.
