I think if you were going to call this turn you should have pushed the flop. This is the card you didn't want to see, so I like this fold. Against trickier opponents, push the flop.

I see what you were trying to do with the bet on the flop, but when you get check raised there, you can lay it down.
Or like the other post said, given that he's so short, you might as well push if you're going to call.

I put him in on the flop, but I don't know if that's better than your line. I definitely prefer your line if he has >$25 left rather than <$15.
I like preflop, and I like potting the flop.
