You've been really harsh towards Mike - I was thinking that you were doing it because you were trying to help him get his game and gambling under control

It's tough to be a commentator when you have to commentate on friends though

I thought you were having fun trash talking but its like you were too harsh by pointing out the obvious that ends the argument - mikes finances - sometimes when you trash talk you know you can't bring certain things up "don't you talk about my mother!"

But man you honestly struck his manhood down a lot by always saying he blows up all the time and that despite his ego - he couldn't afford to play in the big games - it did make him look really bad on tv and his greatest asset is that he's totally entertaining on tv - I'll watch any poker show that Mike is on - Compare the poker after dark with Mike the Phils and Tony G compared to the snooze fest the week before without him

I do like that you honestly want to help him get under control - I was actually wondering why you didn't try to get him to leave the week they all paid him a grand to stay at the HSP table - he was dead money after he agreed to stay

You do understand that the goal is to WIN money from the others at the table right?

Mike is a big boy...and he has the right to make his own mistakes, such as staying to play when his head isnt in the game...this is what the pros count on.

I've played poker at the same table as friends - and if they were drunk or just tilting - I would try to help them - I don't rely on it for a living though

Are you guys saying that if you were friends with a young stu ungar and saw where he was going you wouldn't try to help him

I know what you mean....if i was playing AT A TABLE WITH MY FIERND(S) i would definitely have a workd with them...in fact, I have dont that before in niagara falls. These guys are playing for millions of dollars total...this is their living, i think that if I were danieland i knew mike could be tilted and that would cause him to bluff 100k at me like he did Phil Laak when Pihil held the K ghihgh club flush then I would definitley try to keep him in the game no matter what .

Tough Love is still love? I mean do you think Mike is going to understand subtle hints? I do agree that this should be different since it is on national TV.
