Okay dude, I'm giving you one more chance to prove you're not a total lunatic.

EDIT: no, ur a lunatic. it's official. your reaction to everything is insane.

You delete the real content I wrote and quote the leftover and write BK stuff like that's really insulting. I don't look down at those who work at BK and you already know that's not true.

You freak out because I used the word "newbie". I didn't write "stupid newb" or a remark insinuating you were retarded due to the limited amount of posts. You ARE a newb and it's a way of describing you. If I say "that black guy" in reference to the one black guy in a room full of white guys does that mean I hate black guys?

You've come here in an aggressive manner speaking to people you don't know. The same way you over reacted to "newb" is the same way you reacted to my first post on this thread.

I don't want to flame the mentally challenged too hard so I'm going to let you go where you go.

I suggest you take the medicine prescribed to you.

I'm very, very confused. I thought my tone was cold and dispassionate. Didn't realize it was gibberishy anger shouting, as you're implying. So just coooooool out, man. If you were seriously insulted by the Burger King comment, then I'm sincerely sorry. Damnit, I did it again. That's a lie. I'm not sorry at all, because it was a harmless joke. Your probably work at Wendy's, and I know how you guys look down your noses at The King. But for real I certainly didn't try to imply that you were some kind of weird fastfood elitist that looks down his nose at people that work at Burger King. That's for me to do.

Did I just get "flamed?" Is that what happened? I just did some research on wikipedia, and I thought flames were supposed to be more interesting and mean and effective. You called me a retard and told me to take my pills. I'm having that same flashback to 4th grade.

Racist.

It doesn't matter what you believe in, giving the money back is the right thing to do. I always speak up if I have been shorted and I always give money back when they give me too much. In my oppinion, it should be second nature... well, at least that is how I was raised and I am pretty certain my son acts the same way.

I'm surprised by your first bit. The rest was totally expected.

How can you say it doens't matter what you believe in? Everything is based on each individual's beliefs. You believe it is right to give the money back. Good, fine.

But the "right thing to do" is a matter of self justification. People are very good at justifying why something seedy is okay.

eg. I'm late for a meeting and don't have time / This money should go to the homeless person / The server was very rude / I just lost my job

How big an excuse somebody needs before they feel validated by their decision to not give the money is completely justified by ones beliefs. Perhaps pius Teresa would go through a snow storm to return the money. Not everyone would.

Personal beliefs is why we need tolerance for others.

I don't think I can directly respond to this guy anymore.

Is it just me or does this seem like a new CUI4YD character?

Racist.

This one time...at basketball camp...I was in a room with Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Steve Nash, umm...Tom Chambers, and uh, some other white basketball player. They were talking about the finer points of the game and I nudged the guy sitting next to me and said, "That black guy is good." Everybody looked at me like I was some sort of racist, but I just said, "He's the only black guy; how else would you know who I was talking about?" They wanted to kick me out, but they had no reasonable comeback to my logic.

This one time, at basketball practice camp, I was playing basketball with some friends of mine. A kid dunked hard, and I said, "Damn, that nigga's good!" Then he came up to me and said, "Hey man, that's not cool. Don't talk like that." I told him, "Don't worry it's okay. My best friend is a nigga." He looked confused and said, "Yeah. That's me."

So I said, "What up, my nigga!" and he punched me in the nose.

Makes up for all the other old people who are ridiculously cheap.

That's pretty much what I figured. I realize it doesn't really justify it, but I'm not pretending to care. Ironically, the first time I played cards in one of the underground (illegal) cardrooms here on Long Island, they gave me an extra $20, and I gave it back without even thinking about it. I actually did it so fast that I later realized that I should've just kept it, but it was like a reflex. I guess I have more respect for an illegal gambling establishment than I do for old people.

If we're talking $20+ I definitely say something. But if we're talking a dollar or less honestly I don't say anything (or generally don't notice). I sort of figure things even out because I don't notice when I'm shorted, and don't notice when I'm given too much.

And as far as extra food, they can't take that back anyway (or will trash it if they do) so I see no reason to say anything. That DEFINITELY evens out the times they **** up my order and I don't notice at the drive thru.

toast is simple and good, not to mention good for you

Depends on how much money it was. Anything over $1 I tell him. Anything less, I just keep it. In the scenario you described, I let him know. FTR, what's missing from the record comes out of their paycheck. A dollar may not be missed, but $38 could break some of these guys.

Simple... Any big multi-national store/restaurant/company, I would keep any extra money I get, if they've made a mistake.

If it's a small, independent shop/restaurant, I would tell them and give it back.

I say... where's my Apple Pies at, you forget those too.

I went to McDonalds on my way home from Atlantic City this weekend. When I was sitting at the table looking at the check I realized they didn't charge me for my cheese danish.. Am I a thief? I'm already going to hell for other stuff though.. so I guess it doesn't matter much biggrin.gif

Vaguely related but off topic...Our local radio station had a contest one morning to see who could get the most fast food for free by talking their way out of paying (You can't just grab it and run/drive away or whatever). The first chick got herself a free coffee...then someone else a breakfast sandwich. The next guy got himself a whole value meal. These people were just lying their *** off about forgetting their wallet and being late for work and they will come back and pay tomorrow etc.

I don't think I had a point, but I kind of want to try it every now and then.

Tell him and give it back.

I'm not gonna get some 16 year-old kid fired cuz his drawer is $35 short.
Plus, that's REALLY bad karma to keep the money. I'd probably lose every coin-flip race situation for like 2 months.

edit:

since I am reading the alphabet of manliness, Tell him what he did, laugh at him, and if he tries to take it back, **** punch him.
