Super Man! ???

is this a vbet? I would think this spot is more of a cold call than a bet/fold spot

I thikn it's a vbet tho. I'm behind 99 here or AJ, more realistically they have AK or KQ or even A9

Headsup against button this is an easy value bet imho. I think I still like a value bet on the river here. It would be nice to have a read on CO though, but I think this is a missed draw more than a ten or 99.

That would be what makes is a c/c. He doesn't generally call with missed draws, but he may bluff them.

I agree that if it was headsup with CO c/c would be better since he mostly has a missed draw, but in a 3 way pot on the river I think CO will fold and the button will call with a worse hand more often than either of these guys bluffing on the river allowing us to call with a better hand. In a 3 way pot I dont see CO bluffing that much.

Headsup pots on the river are alot easier to determine the right course of action.

ok guys, chill off the 'if this was heads up..' issue icon_hand.gif icon_hand.gif icon_hand.gif

that line there makes me think this is a bet/fold line then.

I didn't notice it was 3-way.

Yeah, HU this is an easy c/c, IMO.

Here, I probably prefer bet/fold.

No way you can profitably bet this 3rd pair for value into 2 opponents.
In my opinion, it's not close.

Since there is no chance you will ever get value out of both of them, you are risking 1 bet to win 1 bet.
So it has to work over 50% of the time.
I think it happens much less than that.

What worse hands can we put Villains on that we hope to gain value from?
A icon_suit_heart.gif 2 icon_suit_heart.gif ?
77 ?
These just aren't happening.

CO could have been chasing a draw.
Or he could have a monster.
But he just can't call you on the river with anything that you beat since Button acts behind him.

And the only thing you can hope for from Button is that is makes a huge crying call with AK or some other miss.
But since you have been showing strength into 2 opponents the whole way, he must know he would be no good.

Any 2-suited flop with JT is going to generate a lot of draws.
I am more than willing to allow these missed draws to bluff at this river.
I believe this is the only way to profitably gain an extra bet.

Mike, I know you like to try to value bet your marginal hands on the river.
And the fact that you posted this gives me the impression that you actually obtained value from a bet.
But this seems like a very bad time for the try.
I say this is a clear CC.

Mikey is influencing me with these damn value bet posts.

I'm still sticking with my c/c line after reading CM's post. I LOOOOOOVE getting villains to bet their 8 high flush draws into me on the river, lol.
mikeysong
i'm sticking with bet/fold biggrin.gif

I forget what villain showed but I won

although i certainly agree with your logic, I think maybe at higher games this would be c/c. But at low limits, I've seen people call down with A5....
