Button in 1) is a weak player, very loose preflop, survived by hitting a couple flops hard with very marginal hands. Button in 2) plays TAG, only showdown I remembered was when he won a bog pot with AQ on a Q high flop - I don't think he's stealing but he doesn't necessarily have a higher pair.

Just generally, do you think it's better for discussion if I say what I actually did, or not?

I wouldn't say what you did - it could bias the discussion since people will usually assume that what you did lead to an undesirable result.

Hand 1 - villain has 1,320 left, I push here to try to drive him out. If he calls, your 2nd NFD plus another jack probably gives you outs.

Hand 2 - it's either jam or fold for me here. Villain could be making a position raise on the button - I probably jam although I never seem to have luck with jacks lately.

Yeah, a call was out of the question for me there - especially because I had to assume that MP calls as well based on how he played previously. And playing JJ out of position against two opponents really sucks.
I can easily fold without giving up to much, on the other hand, JJ is a very nice hand...
