i recently posted a thread about my strategy to sucesfully make $450 a week, by seeting a goal of only $65 a day, both days i easily met my goal after the 1st hour but then had conflict.. ok... so ive reached my goal for the day after my 1st sit n go... do i stop?? do i keep playing? my results have shown that i battle up and down when i continue playing? so what should i do? and tonite i have reached my goal for 3 days from now?? so do i not play for 3 days? just play lightly with a good mind set? i see why ppl say play hours not results now....

Set a goal of hours or hands in a day. Not a goal of daily income.
Some days you won't win any money no matter what you do. Then what? You gonna have a for 24 hours season?
Your results show that you are running hot for the first hour of your season for 2 days. Whats that like 500 hands?

Daily results are meaningless.
Setting a monetary goal for a day is stupid.
Play as much or as little as you want.
If you have figured out your longterm ROI for SNG's, say 15%, and you want to win $500 in a week, then you'll need to play $3333.33 (x(.15) = $500) worth of buyins to average your monetary goal. Some weeks you will lose money, some you will win $1500.
Do you see why your "strategy" makes no sense?

Your idea is silly. If the games are good and you feel good then play.
Feeling good > Game Selection > then finally making the correct plays for each situation is much more important then results.
If you follow these situations you'll make profits and be happy. Sounds like you might have some bankroll or tilt management issues if your trying to limit yourself. Might need to figure those out first.

If you are sitting at a stupidly juicy cash game, would you get up and walk away just because you hit the mark for the day? That would be excercising bad poker skills. You should only walk away when you think sitting at the table with extra money that you could potentially lose will affect your ability to play optimally.
