sweet moses why are you checking that turn?
MrNiceGuy
I'd lead the flop. You have overs and a flush draw- see if you can pick up some calls from overcards.

I 3-bet a lot preflop, unless villains PFR is like 7 or less, maybe. Random number I came up with.

If I didnt' do that, I prefer a c/r flop, since we can trap more players for two bets, hopefully.

As played, turn lead is too easy.
mikeysong
why is leading the turn here better than a check-raise or c/c?

you trap more players by leading the flop.

This hand plays a lot easier if you 3-bet preflop. Playing 6-handed, you're going to have the best hand here much more often than not, and facing a cold-caller and a BB who may or may not call, you definitely don't want to make this cheap.

i didn't 3bet since i figured utg would still call 2 cold

thinking back, I still should've 3bet huh.

Ah, my bad, I confused UTG and UTG+1.

Yeah, 3-betting's not just to eliminate players, it's for value too, especially when multiple players have shown weakness by calling. Also, a 3-bet is likely to eliminate the BB, even if it doesn't get rid of anyone else.

I 3bet preflop for value.
As played, I still lead the flop.
If I hadn't led the flop, I still lead the turn.

I check with my strong hands very rarely.

Bleh...I can't advocate the 3bet pre-flop with the limper and cold-caller. Yeah, we've got some value, but we're also going to be OOP in a really multi-way pot and we'll basically need to hit to win. Why do we want to shut out the BB? We can get plenty of value by letting one extra player in without exposing ourselves to the lead OOP in a huge pot. I guess it's close in my book though...cause I could definitely see 3-betting AQs here. Additionally, yeah...we seriously need to lead this flop and/or turn.
