.25-.50 home game, 6 players, PLO and NLE rotation game.

Stack sizes are all pretty similar with the 3 players in the hand, around 80.

Hero has KKJx in the BB, button pots to 1.75, sb calls, i call.

Flop: K icon_suit_diamond.gif Q icon_suit_spade.gif 10 icon_suit_club.gif
(pot 5.25)

SB bets 3, Hero calls, button raises to 8, SB instantly folds, Hero?

With a bet and a raise, I would assume the button has the nuts. So your straight draw is three outs to a split.

I'd call and hope for the board to pair on the turn.

Yeah, that's the only play I see as being possible.

^^^^^^ What they said.

It'd be a lot more interesting if Sb calls or evev re-pots..

ok...i forgot to add in some info on the players in the hand....i play with them a lot and know their games really well...sb doesnt know plo at all, button is a good, very aggressive player who is capable of pulling off big bluffs, but usually gets paid off when he has big hands...i thought about this for a little bit and decided to repot it to 33 dollars total...my thinking is this...if all he has is AJxx he can be thinking that hes basically drawing dead to a split and i could have two pair or a set with my nut straight...hes capable of folding the nuts there....he can also instamuck when i annouce raise and i can take the pot down right there....and even if he repots it, im getting the right price to chase my 7 outer to win and 3 outer to tie...does this sound like a decent play or does it sound like im thinking of every possible way not fold this hand

reraising is a bad line, IMHO. you're not folding someone's AJ because they think you might have a redraw too, never on a rainbow board. cold calling often shows as much strength as repotting, since you're saying that you like your hand enough to see more cards on a rainbow flop to a bet and raise, you're representing at least a set. reraising would indeed say AJ, but the only hand you're getting action from on a repot is AJ, MAYYYYBE the little str8, and maybe a smaller set, if you're lucky. if you're really that sure you're ahead here, the only card that bugs you is a jack, and you have one of those, so why not just peel one off and let the monkey fire again if you're winning?

LOL @ getting someone to fold the nut straight in a 0.25/0.50 home game. That's not happening ever, I don't care what your read is. I mean there's not even a flush draw out there! Who folds the nut straight because they're worried you have a straight with a set redraw? Even if you were playing 10/20 with $20,000 stacks, I doubt you could make that move work.

The obvious play is to call and hope you hit a boat. SB's giving you a pretty good price by only betting half the pot so take advantage of that.
