In any case, raise more preflop. You are OOP with a vulnerable hand. Make it 160-200.
Bet more on the flop. You don't get enough information from betting 120.
Depending on stack sizes I shove after his raise. Calling puts more money in when you don't know where you are.
As played the turn is awkward but I probably checkraise allin.

Hes representing set, or a flush draw, probably with two overs. I would try and check it down to the river, but he isnt likely to cooperate. If he gets aggressive, tough decision.

Definitely raise more preflop.
In this position, I'm all-in on that flop. I think you need to define your hand more by betting larger on the flop. His range could be anything from 22-99, A9,K9,Q9,J9,T9,98, or two overs with a flush draw. You've got very little idea where you are now. That said, there's only three hands that beat you out of all these options: 99,55,22, so I shove.
