Took a 3 week break from LHE, so help me shed the rust...

Bodog 20/40 LHE (6-handed)

Cobalt is BB w/ 8 icon_suit_heart.gif 7 icon_suit_club.gif. Only been at the table for three orbits or so, and I've been playing pretty tight-passive so far (saw two flops and folded). No particular read on anyone, but the players seem baddish and general and CO has appeared somewhat LAG.

Pre-flop:
UTG calls, 1 fold, CO raises, Button calls, SB calls, Cobalt calls

Flop (10 SB): T icon_suit_heart.gif 7 icon_suit_heart.gif 7 icon_suit_club.gif
SB checks, Cobalt bets, UTG raises, CO 3-bets, 2 folds, Cobalt ?

Everyone cool calling pre-flop? What about the flop donkbet? Just go ahead and cap? (Remember to factor in our limited reads and possible image.)

I like the donkbet and I think you should play this hand fast. If they both have draws or overpair, make them pay. Create lots of action on the flop in hopes of getting more on the turn or river

I agree, donkbet is good. Cap flop for sure. Even if you are perceived as passive, no one is folding an overpair or a heart draw on the turn for one bet. This is especially true if the players are bad. Having said that, I don't think you should be calling pf here...

You guys are saying donkbet is good due to our relative position, and offers a better chance to protect our hand?
mikeysong
donkbet disguises our hand better than check-raising to 3bet with it

aim - he's getting like 8:1 to play his hand, he should definitely play his hand.

Oh yeah, dude, pf is fine.

I think I agree with y'all that the straight-forward flop cap is best. However, thinking "I'm tight, CO LAG", I dogged it with some FPS...

Flop (10 SB): T icon_suit_heart.gif 7 icon_suit_heart.gif 7 icon_suit_club.gif (5 players)
SB checks, Cobalt bets, UTG raises, CO 3-bets, 2 folds, Cobalt calls, BB calls

Turn (9.5 BB): Q icon_suit_spade.gif (3 players)
Cobalt checks, UTG checks, CO checks

River (9.5 BB): 3 icon_suit_spade.gif (3 players)
Cobalt bets, UTG calls, CO calls

Final Pot: 12.5 BB

Yeah, I was about to say that this board's too draw-heavy to try to C/R turn and that we need to just cap it up. The fact that villian's a LAG just means that he's more likely to have hearts instead of an overpair. As for your image, don't worry about it. They're all donks at Bodog, I doubt they've paid enough attention to notice anything about your play after three orbits. Oh, and PF is absolutely standard.
