Edit: When did this happen?

From the FCP points page

How many points will I earn?
Texas Hold'em, Omaha, 7 Card Stud
Five FCP Points for every dollar of rake that you contribute.

Tournaments
Five FCP Points for every entrance fee dollar that you pay.

It was ten points once right?

When we were at On Game it was. Under our new circumstances the rate for FCP points went to 5.

No wonder I haven't been getting as many as I thought I should have been.

ps. I haven't been playing enough to accrue many, just getting less than I thought I should have been.

Have the prices for things in the fcp store also been adjusted?

Maybe it's just me, but it seemed like it took me forever to get enough points to get anything worthwhile, when with comparable play at Pokerstars, I got a ton of points that were useful for decent merchandise, as well as tourney entries.

A few months ago we did adjust pricing on all items weighing over 12-14 pounds due to an increase in shipping charges. Recently the price for the FCP chip sets increased due to the fact that we now include a deck of COPAG playing cards in the set.

Matt,

I think the question was geared more towards the end that the prices should be lowered due to the fact that the points are now more difficult to obtain than before.

Just my interpretation of the question.

Thanks.

Thanks, you're right, that does make a little more sense icon_biggrin.gif

Our FCP points program had to be changed with our new circumstances but it's still competitive in the online industry.

Unfortunately the prices in the FCP store will not decrease; we have to keep prices the same and at times increase prices to keep bringing you more variety. We offer more products to choose from than any other poker site I'm aware of.

Also, keep in mind your points cover all shipping costs, duties, taxes, etc.

If you have any other store related questions please send them to fcpstore@fullcontactpoker.com as I don't always have time to read through the forums.

Thanks,

I just got the 750 Las Vegas EDGE SPOT NEXGEN Chip Set in Mahogany Case for 32,874 Points right before christmas.

Was I supposed to get a deck of COPAGS?

I didn't get any and that was a whole lotta points.

COPAGS are nice.

No, only the FCP Chips come with the Copags. The cards that came with the set weren't the best quality at first.

I hope to have earned enough points for a hat by the end of the year. The prizes are great, but with so little traffic it's hard to justify playing here enough to earn anything decent. I've wanted a hat for quite some time now though.....and people to play with.
Jam-Fly
I think that is completely terrible.

Effectively, everything is doubling in price. Is that not what is happening?

Hi Jam Fly, that's not what has happened. The points that are in your account are still the same it's just that it takes longer to earn additional points.

I understand your need to do so, Bob, but you can quit sugar coating this. He's exactly right.
For any new players or people that didn't have thousands of unused points, the prices in the store effectively doubled.

The amount of points required to get anything decent is and has been high for a very long time. By changing the point
system, you've made the supposed "rewards program" even more prohibitive to the casual player.

I think Matt said earlier in this thread that it's "competitive in the online industry"...What a joke. It's nowhere close.
At this point you guys should be GIVING merchandise away, what with the pathetic traffic levels at the site. Let those
that have been faithful and patient enough to stick with you promote your site by wearing the logo, etc. Don't make it
even harder for them to do so.

Bob, I think you're among the best support guys in the whole poker world, and one of the only reasons I still have any
money at all on fcp. At a mostly dead site though where there is little traffic in holdem, and NO traffic in any other games,
it's hard to stomach ANY increase in fees or decrease in player benefits....

I'd also like someone to explain to me how it is I earn enough points each and every day for at MINIMUM one hat if not TWO playing 2/4 or 3/6 on Stars.
At FCP, it takes me minimum a MONTH to accomplish the same. Competitive in the online industry? What figures exactly did they use to come to
that stunning conclusion?

Hi bdc30, you can't compare Stars system to other sites as they use their point system as their primary promotional tool. They rarely provide bonus and they don't have affiliates or a Network that they share their revenues with.

You've been clearing bonus when you play at FCP and in your case with that bonus you have been given over 70% of the gross rake that you've generated back in bonus money plus the FCP points. You can't just look at one aspect of a player incentive program like you are doing.

I just wish anything with the FCP logo that is going to help advertise the site, especially like a hat (mostly because I want one) should be easier to earn enough points for. I'll keep plugging along though.

Everyone should recognize just how strong this is.

I just need an instant HH and more traffic. That's not too much to ask.

This will be my last post on this topic I promise. icon_biggrin.gif If my math is correct I have to contribute about 640 dollars in rake to earn a $20-$30 dollar hat? That seems a bit excessive to me. I was also told that there are no more redeposit bonuses on the site, so the prior example of rakeback in bonus dollars doesn't seem to apply anymore. Like I said before, I'll keep plugging along. I just hope I earn the hat before online poker gets completely shut down though... I guess getting an advance on the points I plan/hope to earn is out of the question wink.gif

We don't currently have a redeposit bonus but we will have more in the future.

If a player requests some additional bonus money from me I have been known to say yes if they are playing regularly.

That's interesting, last year I was an exclusive FCP player. I closed all the other sites I was on and only played at FCP.

I have no idea how much rake I generated or how many hours I played but I always qualified for the monthly leader board thingys icon_confused.gif

I would just like to say that I am happy with all that Bob and the rest of the FCP crew have done for us, even without the $100 bonus money icon_biggrin.gif

Well price have been raise at the store again. Where a deck of used casino cards was around 700 points a week before christman now are 1149.. hats started under 3000 are over 3000 for the cheapest one. the fcp chip set I got mine after the golf tourny for under 7000 then they added th copac cards and it was under 8000 now 11099 quite a price jump.

That being said Matt is a great guy. Anytime something has gone wrong He has stepped up and fixed it, sometimes going above & beyond. But with lack of traffic, harder to earn points this doesn't seem like the time to take things away from the players.

The neg-o at first gave a hat or shirt....then it switched to 2500 points so you could pick what you want. Now the points will not even get you a hat.

You can get used casino cards for 0.50 to 1.00 at any casino I've ever been to.
What a waste of points. I'm curious to know how much rake one has to contribute to
get 1149 points for a 0.50 item.

I got a chipset a few weeks ago for 7999 points. The same set now costs 10374 points. Glad I didn't wait!

I understand being upset because prices have gone up etc, but you really have to cut them some slack at some point.

The only reason I play at FCP is to support the site and because of the wonderful support staff.

I don't play for the bonuses etc, because I understand the site is going through a rough transition.

I have alot more to say, but there's really no point, you all know the situation.
seemorenuts
I had won an FCP chipset and case during the golf weekend promo.

I like this set and I was told by Bob that it was clearly the best value set.

I'm working towards yet another identical set because pointwise, it's still the best value along with perhaps the hockey sweater?

I.e. books and dvds are much cheaper using ebay, etc.

What do you guys think, which items are the cheapest pointwise in relation to dollars?

Thanks in advance.

Oh, one other thing, are copags up there with KEM cards? I don't see what's the big deal, they cost how much per pack?

Guys, what's the traffic like on FCP for SH or FR LHE games from 2/4 and up?

If I can get constant bonus for playing regularly, at 70% RB, it'd be hard to turn down. I'm not sure if I can live without PT, but it'd definitely be intriguing...

But it has been improving lately, I can find a game at the levels I'm looking for once in a while, and when I do, the competition is very soft. Also, it's supposed to pick up substantially in the next couple of weeks. Check back for the next month or so. The bonus clearing rate on FCP is pretty good, I seem to make almost 2 BB per hour playing at SH tables.
