arg, i folded T7 on that turn!

the main advice i can give is that you bet the turn very quickly, as if you saw something. i figured you hit a 4 or something, but that's something to consider.

as it was, the pot was multi-way, and i generally go for a c/r on that flop, and isolate against a draw or weak pair. also, on a flop like that, you can also easily fold if two people show aggression.

i don't like betting out with a weak hand multi-way like that because you often get raised, ahead or behind, and its difficult to procede.

i was the person at the table berating you and calling you a donk btw. i hope you knew i was joking! the A5s limp was a little weak, but with that maniac there, you had to play it. heck, i won about 45bb off that guy before giving half of it back.

That Sharkminator guy was the whole reason I even sat at that table. Couldn't pick anything up against him. Oh well.

I've never seen anyone catch a run of cards like that.

I don't bet this flop. Given that you did, bet the turn and river as well.

i like leading out, as long as you're willing to do it with your strong hands as well.

i know. raising the flop (or waiting for a safe turn, and raising there) is standard for me there. but I knew he was FCP, and didn't usually play 2/4, so i figured him for a big hand here.

and yeah, sharkminator is one of the worst/best i've ever seen. one of the old 'back in the day' Party-type fish. over 115 hands he had 67% VPIP, 35% PFR.

whats your standard play against a villian of this caliber?

I had the fortune of sitting next to a guy that had stats of 45/15/3 who would raise any pair he hit on the flop. My standard play was to attempt to isolate him and my raise/3bet range was greatly expanded...sound standard?

on flop I'd c/r a LP bet. Other than that it would depend on who bet and called

As played, T&R stnd.

luckily, i was on his direct left, which made it much easier. strategy there is basically to just isolate against him whenever possible, and be sure to call down if played back at, even with marginal holdings.

otherwise, its pretty specific. villains like this tend to have strong patterns. if you're not lucky enough to be sitting in one of the couple seats on his left, just use his aggression against him and the field. with marginal holdings, try to get him to raise and do the isolation for you, and with strong holdings, let him bet, and trap the field for extra bets.
