AHL TICKER
Big Night in the AHL East as the classic rivalry of Thieves and Mustangs is on again. The Ghosts are in tough against a very solid Greaseball team, the Rats are on what should be a walk vs. Dirty Trix, and Dale's hoping for a W versus the hit-or-miss Dawgs. In Tiger North, Blackdraft is looking to win 3 out of their last 4 after losing 19 in a row... someone will have to put up the Rats game though, I've gotta bolt - again the pw is kylesucks.

Sorry guys, but I'm just seeing the Norwalk Flu out the door so I don't feel up to doing the ticker.

DM. That is one nasty flu. I had it and was out for 3 days. I slept through one Sunday because of the Norwalk and it cost me $1,200. By the way, first 2 goals tonight by the Ingmen.

I might be the greatest when it comes to benching players that score goals. Pominville sits.... and scores!!!!!

I don't really have time to do the ticker either, maybe later I'll try to though if no-one gets to it... I see Sturm has already put up some points though for LK.

It was rescheduled. I don't know if they've announced the date, but they cancelled the game this afternoon.

Lombardi and Arnason won't get any points for me tonight.

That's what happens.

Dont worry Daniel you should win tonight...My luck is really bad last few nights...I scored 5 goals LAST NIGHT with only a THREE game schedule and tonight I was away from any computer action and didnt find out about the postponement in COLORADO..So I am pretty much screwed tonight...i need LOTS of Dallas goals

I would think that it would be the same as if no goalies were submitted. That means he gets his worst goalies.

Like through a java chat / irc or something like that? I'll look around and see what's around.. maybe I can get goose to toss something up on the fchl website and/or use my website if I have the rights.

No, he would automatically use one of his other teams. If he has none, it's considered an empty net and he gets 5 against.

Eeeewww...2 goals by Afinogenov and you only gain +0.5.

Tied it up with the Dawgs. Arnason and Lombardi sure would be nice to have now.

I'll be very suprised if I end up with a point.

Pominville with another one.

Daniel, at least Pominville's goals are still worth 0.5 for you.

It was similar to Domi punching Samuelsson, kind of, lol and he got 8 games. In this day and age (Bertuzzi era), my guess is 15.

at first glance, without the benefit of seeing a replay, not sure i see the difference between that and the Bertuzzi punch.

It wasn't as bad as Bertuzzi's. Bertuzzi actually chased Moore and had intent to injure. Nichol tangled with Spacek and fell behind the net. He got up and caught him square from behind and Spacek wasn't expecting it.

how is "He got up and caught him square from behind and Spacek wasn't expecting it" NOT intent to injure?!?!?!

Was Spacek injured and forced to leave the game? Unfortunately the NHL punishes more based on outcome than action.

Yes he was. He was down for 5 minutes at least.

Without seeing the incident I estimate 3-5 games. I'm leaning toward 3.

not to argue the point, but to me, premeditated doesnt just mean from the game before.

I saw him crash into the net, then GET UP, skate over to Spacek with a stride or two, AND THEN swing at his head. he had lots of time to think about his actions before making his move.

Im not saying its the worst thing i have ever seen, but it was a total sucker punch, and it was terrible. It wont have the media coverage of Bertuzzi/Moore, so he wont get anywhere near the same type of punishment. But im guessing NHL gives him 7-10.

DM is right. Spacek's status/health after this will play a large role.

Im no Sabres fan, and like I said, only saw it once, but that was bush league.

I dont mean to argue it with you ML, just stating what I think I saw.
