Uh. mrdannyg told me he checks the turn through here. Can these guys really have a 4? Maybe 2 pair? I'd rather bet to protect against the FD. Thoughts on this?

What's our reaction to a c/r? We are dead to a 4, but have outs vs a weird two pair.

What about river if we bet/call turn, are we seeing SD?

Tyty.

fwiw, i'm never bet/calling the turn. if i bet, its a bet/fold, especially 3-way.

there are a few reasons i like checking here:
- if UTG has the 4 (or two pair, etc), we maintain absolute position on the river, and can fold if MP2 calls a bet.
- we aren't giving up much equity by checking - if we're behind, we're probably dead, and if we're ahead, they're drawing to 5-6 outs or so. also, they often share outs.

i had more, but im tired. i never bet/call this turn though, and against most opponents i check, with the intention of reassessing, and probably calling one bet, from one opponent on the river.

Check/raising the turn from their perspective is a great move with any piece, because you will almost never 3bet and if you call, they can safely check/fold the river unimproved. Almost any piece of it is drawing to at least 5 cards, plus 4 more for a chop. And it's scary enough that most tight-ish players will fold overpairs if you dont get out of line often.

But will they do it?

Probably not.

Most of the tiem you arent getting raised by two pair even, which eliminates your hypothetical counterfitting outs in situations when you are raised.

I think I bet/call the turn. Re-evaluate on the river.

imo, the pot is too small for this.
Unless we have a specific read, I bet/fold.
checking on that board is gros. against typical passive players

bet/fold as you aren't getting enough outs to call and you are most likely beat. Overpairs won't c/r, neither will 2 pair. Maybe a poorly played set or a 4, which means you're dead to 2.
