Uh... where to get aggro with this one? Donk turn? C/r turn?

I know that players who open OTB and are 3-bet out of the blinds cap light, but I don't know enough to trust that read.

Anyone do anything differently?

Oh yeah, villain is 44/16/1.6 after 160 hands, but I didn't have that many hands on him at the time.

if you don't have a lot of info on the villain, my standard line is a donk/call turn. we're seeing a showdown in blind battle obviously.

i also cap literally any two cards on the button if i'm 3bet by a blind barring extra info. don't know if that helps.

I hear that a lot on the forums, but I dont know whether it would apply to these random AP players. Most are decently knowlegeable, as in, not just new to the game, but I don't know if they'd play blind battles that way.

I'd rather donk/call the turn or river than check/call both.
I dont think it matters much which.

Unless you've been looking real crazy in the hands leading up to it or you have reason to believe that he's a showdown monkey, i dont like the idea of check/raising the turn.

Turn donks look funky and get called on the basis of the "if he had it, he'd check/raise" rationale.
River donks get paid because it's 1 more bet in a big pot.

And you have to go to showdown no matter what.

Most of the small stake games players are straight forward.
I cap more than almost any of the regulars. Most of the time, it's so they'll back down and stop 3betting me.
People hate it when it's capped, even if they know you arent particularly strong. They cant get over the mental block of having to call down with ace high after having the other person show so much strength.
