Full Version: 3/6 @ Caesars Ac - Call Everyhand

I was playing a 3/6 game at Caesars in AC this past Friday. I encountered a player who would call every hand preflop no matter what raise or what position. It was like he was playing 12-20$ hands of poker, instead of playing what i would consider, 'normal' poker. Instead of playing blackjack, he was playing poker, call everything preflop, and then see to the river. He would never raise even if he had a big hand, just call everything. The table consenus originally thought by making raises 9 & $12 it could get him out, but it did not work. He even said to the table, "you guys should have figured out by now that im calling everything to the river."

I would normally think this is good bc he would be giving away his money. However, he would get 2 pairs with 3-9off, or a boat with a 10-4off. It became very frustrating.

Before yesterday, i have never seen anyone be a calling station to this degree. Has anyone else ever dealt with this and how do you do with it? Just get up and leave the table? I wanted to stay at the table because i knew if i ever caught a big hand i would surely get paid off, but is that the correct mentality?

These players are not rare at 3/6 live games. They are very good, and make us lots of money!

against those sorts of players, just be sure to bet and raise literally every spot you think you're ahead a lot of the time. you will win all of his money long term, no matter how lucky he might get over the course of one night.

Yup. There are some slight strategy variations you'll need to make, but they basically just involve getting as much of this guy's money in the pot when you can beat a random hand. There are simply too many hands he can't beat most of the time, so get after it heads/up, and take the throttle off with draws.

Not funny. He probably should if doesnt understand why this kind of play is ridiculously profitable for him.

It would be hard to play any kind of legitimate strategy and lose against that guy. It doesn't matter how bad you are.
