Actually, I saw Hotel Rwanda a few months ago and I ended up being so ashamed of the human race, I wanted to die, but I realised dying wasn't the answer. Information is the key. Communicating that information is the key. There is more than one key. Do not be afraid to stand up for what you beleive in and fight for the truth. Please be objective and leave your self-serving interests at the door. We're talking abuot the human race. Does it really matter who prays to what God? We are all here together. Let's be decent, kind, forgiving and learn to live with one another. Please. That is all. For now.
If only everyone thought like this, the world would be better, but unfotunatley it is not.
The Rwandan genodice especially makes me think of this. During the holocaust, the Nazis killed the Jews becuase they were Jewish and had different beliefs. Although i can never see how this is an excuse to kill 6 million innocent people.
However during the Rwandan Genocide it was different. The Hutu were killing the Tutsi but there is no difference between these two. If my memory serves me right, when Belgium made Rwanda independent, they randomly made some people Hutu and some Tutsi. They believe in the same thing and there are a couple of differences in appearence (heigh, skin color) but this isn't always true. So this genocide is particularly troublesome because the Jews and the Nazis were very different but the Hutu and the Tutsi were pretty much the same.
