I figured the Nug's to do much better this year. 'melo being a year older, getting the blue light special- but they slipped and broke their hip or something.
I also picked the TWolves to do a lot better, too

Houston is on a downfall and Den can easily overtake them
amd Denver is one of the best teams in the league thanks to George Karl
therye like 26-6 with him this season, if hed been here the entire season, thats roughly a 60-65 win season
besides....if we play SA, we will beat them,, heres why
bout 3 weeks ago with 2;45 left in the game the Nugs were down by 7 to SA in SA, the hardest place to win on the road
Denver scored the last 10 points and won the game, they are the best 4th quarter team in the league hands down and are not absoulte first round exits

i don't even know what to say to this.......there are so many things about this post that just arent true....first of all any team can get hot and go 26-6 for some stretch....but winning 60-65 games is a whole other story......ill give you that denver might be able to catch houston, but they will still have a tough time against seattle.....sure denvers been hot latley but if i remeber correctly they lost the last two meetings, during this hot streak, against the suns......lastly team in the nba can win one game, but the better team will win a 7 game series....maybe if the first round was 5 games still you'd have a shot to beat the spurs.....only chance is without duncan......and to say that they are the best 4th quarter team in the league is just funny....denver is hot right now and enjoying a good run, but i'd enjoy it while it lasts because if they have to play the suns or the spurs with duncan in round 1 they are going home

This isnt just a hot streak, this is a great team ebcause of Goegre Karl, w/o him the Nugs wouldnt be in contension for a playoff spot

basically during this streak the nugs have beat a bunch of mediocre teams......they haven't had a tough schedule, and have taken advantage of that....they are a good team, but not a great team, they are no where near the talent level of the suns, and spurs......although it looks like they are headed for a first round match up with dallas or seattle, which are both teams they might be able to beat, they are not good enough to beat the suns or spurs in a 7 game series......ill give you they prob get to the second round, but thats where their run ends.....although if they end up with the mavs in round 1 they will have a tough time even beating them.....your setting yourself up for dissapointment if your hoping for more than a first or second round exit

BTW, Carmelo and K-mart are awesome.
Camby is a punk. He got lucky the refs didn't see him taking a full swing at Battier. You've certainly got a good team.

yeah you might as well enjoy this one cause it ain't gonna last long.....the spurs played like shit and still kept it pretty close, and if they would have made a couple buckets in the fourth quarter they would have won......basically denver took advantage of a sub par performace by the spurs but you just can't expect them to play that poorly for the whole series

Is it just me.....or was this one of the worst officiated series....Ive seen way too many times(going both ways) where Duncan/Anthony gets hacked hard, no call. Than Parker/Miller drive the lane and a fowl is called when they are not touched/barely touched. Duncans sixth flow was crap....Anthony just tripped.

A lot of peope have problems with the officials. I'm a Rockets fan and have had to deal how the refs have called Yao all season. I stopped getting angry about around mid-season. It's like your cat puking on the carpet. Sure it sucks, but there's nothing you can do about it. The main problem is consistancy. They've been letting the moving screens go all year (for every team). Then decide to start calling them in game 4. Whatever...
But I watched that Nuggets game. It took forever with all the calls. I thought the only way it would end is when one ENTIRE team was gonna foul out.

While I might pick the Spurs if Duncun was anywhere near 100%, his health concerns me. Factor in that Shaq is on a mission to prove that the all of the last few Lakers titles were because of him, and I think you have to pick the Heat.
rollito
Wednesday, May 4th, 2005, 6:08 AM
you all forget that shaq is no where near 100% either......both his legs have problems and he played no where near good enough to even beat the pistons......duncan seems to be getting better every game, and unless shaq gets healthy quick its gonna be tough for them to even win the east....and as far as dwayne wade goes sure he's a great player, but everyone thought this about kobe when he was playing with shaq too, now everyone is a kobe hater.....bottom line shaq makes everyone around him better including wade, which means that without a healthy shaq the heat will have a real tough time getting to the finals
