400 PLO8, nine-handed, no reads as I'm new to the table

Button - $474
UTG - $168
Hero - $396

Hero is MP2 with Jh Ac Tc 9d

UTG raises to $8, UTG+1 calls, MP calls, Hero calls, Button raises to $54, UTG calls, UTG+1 and MP fold, Hero calls.

Pot $184

Flop: Qs 6h Jc

UTG checks, I check, Button bets $184, UTG folds, I...

PF: Is that a fold or can I call with last action?

Post-flop, Would a repot make sense here? My thought was that villain had A2xx so he could be trying to buy the pot after two checks. UTG is out of the picture and I have outs if my read is totally off.

preflop is a bit icky. i don't think i call the repot pre unless it's HU when i know i'm against AA by a predictable player and can be nearly certain of where i stand postflop.

postflop you have to fold unless you're absolutely certain he has AAlowx. if he's capable of repotting preflop with akqj or something, you gotta toss for sure.

so yeah, these sorts of spots are both so read-dependent that i think i toss both if i'm new to a table.

Under any circumstances. Ever.

He's on obv aces, I would repot him, your a fav. over AAxx with your pair and str8 draw...if the turn blanks your a ~45-55 dog (for hi), get the money in now while you have fold equity.

If you just call and a lo brick peels, you'll have to pass 2 a pot bet. If your read is that he has AAxx and you want 2 continue with the hand repot his azz.

i actually disagree. there are a lot of times i'll call a preflop big bet if i have the type of hand that is strong hi-only (4 broadway cards) and feel like the villain is the type that will shove the flop with AA regardless of what falls.

but if a player is more competent than that i do lean fold preflop, so yeah.

The way this played, I think he has AAxx. I would get it all in, ???, Profit!

i'd let this go pre after the button raise, andre. high only hands want to see cheap flops, and being oop makes it even tougher.

as played, you're only in bad shape if he has something like QQxx or JJxx with bd low possibility, you're about a flip with AA2x, i'd be fine with getting it in.
